Giving up vaping?

I got my dil a riva kit from jason and she now wants to sell it? to put it politely, she is not the sharpest tool in the box, the thing is she has a young toddler 3-4, and i really despair she won't take advice, some people you just can't tell, but she is family like it or not, heart of an angel but brain of a amoeba i'm thinking, ok i've had a few here, no change there eh? but what can i do to stop her smoking, she is not flush with money, so usually smokes rollies, probably about 12-15 a day, she bought the riva kit about a month ago, at least a month, and at the same time the grizz's pick an mix 5x 5ml and you will never guess how many ml, of juice she has used in that time , cos when she got up to our's i told her to take a toke on one of mine and she was coughing like like it was the first time, well out of the 5x5ml from grizz i reckon she has used top's 10 ml in a month, and you know what, this really makes me sick, in fact i'm sorry i can't even write it, it pisses me off so much, deep breathing going on here

I was smoking 20 a day for 30 years without the cough she now has on her, i have no kids but to carry on whilst knowing the facts and knowing there is another option is plain stupidity to me, and i can't be doing with stupid people What can i say knowing the life choices she has already made, sorry peeps honest to god this makes me cry, i have to wipe away the tears to see the keyboard thee times.

Please don't get upset, as Gordy says, see if she is willing to hold onto her kit in case she changes her mind, the giving up smoking has to come from her and she maybe ready to try again soon.

I have had a very similar experience as you, my brother was always chanting about giving up I was already a vaper and he showed no interest, cutting a long story short, he ended up in ICU with chronic Pneumonia, he was told he had to quit, he gave vaping a go with my Screwdriver mk II, a load of juice and clearo's, then he pinched my SDK then I noticed him back on the fags, so I bought him a Micropipe which he was chuffed with for all of 5 mins and is 100% back on the fags again, with those three ecigs doing nothing.

If they are not up for it there is not much that can be done, the only reason I haven't had the kits back is that I am hoping he will, when ready, give it another go.

I'm in the same boat too so don't despair too much , I bought my daughter a janty ego kit last year , she switches between that and cigs , the saving grace is , she has cut down from 20 a day to 10 , but still refuses to give up the fags completely .

At the age of 21 they still think it's not doing any harm to them ...................................

I think it's possibly down to social acceptability, being 21 she probably cares about what others think and like it or not Ecigs are still looked at by many as a questionable thing to do because of public ignorance. I get a little flack from people around me because they think what I'm doing is worse than smoking the socially acceptable death sticks.

Of course I'm big enough and ugly enough to tell people what to do with their ignorance but as a 21 year old I may have caved in and smoked the more acceptable analogues!!

Awe blue , don't feel blue hugs , but know that peed off feeling very well. My best friend and next door neighbour is 6months pregnant she started me off on vaping on a cig a like she got to try and get off the fags ! She lasted a week I am still here , she wanted to give it another go a month or so again so I gave her my first riva kit with 10 10ml juices low nic , and I am still to see her use it her excuse being she is too stressed with her depression , hello girlie I have that too but it doesn't stop me ! Some peeps are just not ready to stop their loss not ours

Aww blue don't feel bad, all you can do is try and it sounds like you've given that a damn good go! If she doesn't want to stop yet then I don't think any amount of trying will make her unfortunately although I completely understand your point of view in terms of the kiddies

With regard to her only being 21 and maybe caring what others think about her, it's possible. I'm 24 though and I take my LT out with me when I'm with my friends (they all still smoke) and they think I'm daft but I couldn't care less lol I like sitting there with a smug look on my face vaping away in the pub while they have to go outside for a nasty

a friend of mine was over the moon when I gave her my cig-a-likes and some cartos and juice. She was utterly horrified when I explained that cartos were disposaple and she would probably need about 2 a week at £1 each. Obviously, it's just cheaper to smoke >

Blue, it is frustrating when folk are unable to listen to sound advice, I approached two smokers at work about the benefits of vaping, one said she wasn't ready to give up smoking yet, but would come see me when she was, the other said he'd tried an e cig previously and it didn't do it for him. So I've left them to it, they'll either come to me or they won't.

Sometimes the more you push the more you push them away.
