1st post on behalf of my dad

Hi Guys

I have just registered on behalf of my dad because he was not quite sure how go about it. Nice to meet you, i'm his oldest

In February of this year he suffered a bit of a heart attack as a consequence of his 30 plus a day golden vagina habit. I believe he started when he was 6 on players weights given to him by his Nan who use to live next door. Fast forward forty seven years and his vital artery's had narrowed so much we nearly lost him luckily we didn't and he was given a second chance. Spookily the previous October he had brought himself an E cigarette that goes by the name of the Gamucci Clasic and teamed it up with the Gammucci Classic 1.6% per ml cigarette cartridges. For ten weeks he would happily sit there puffing on his new toy knowing that he was avoiding the damage that a normal cigarette would do. Towards the middle of December and with his cartridge supply running out he went to place an order with his usual supplier (prezzie box) only to be told that were out out of stock. After countless revisits to the site over a number of days he was still being told that they they were out of stock and so he went to the Gammuci main website where it was announced they were changing the Gammuci Ecig model he had to a Gammuci Ecig micro and that the new cartridges were not compatible with the one he had.
Well what with the initial outlay (he had brought 2) and this news he felt as though he had been ripped of and therefore decided against buying anymore as what was to say the same thing wouldn't happen again in the future and so returned to smoking his roll ups. This has only just come to light for me as I had presumed that they were no good (which he assures me they were) hence why I am here looking for guidance. Basically I am wondering if anyone else has had the same experience/problem and how they got around it. My thinking is that surely there must be a cartridge to fit the 2 original Gammuci Ecig's he already has thus avoiding the need to have to buy another complete new Ecig but if that's genuinely not the case I am going to buy him a new one but I obviously want one that is really good and not fast to run out of battery's like this one was or leak as occasionally he found the cartriges would do just that.

Hopefully someone has had the same problem and can tell me what I can do or what my options are.

I forgot to add he is currently on an inhaler given to him by the NHS but its not as good in his opinion and he keeps having the occasional fag

Welcome Chris, sorry to hear about your Dad's health troubles!

Ok, i don't know anything about the Gamucci but I pressume it's another cig-a-like? These have very small batteries that need alot of recharging. Rechargeable batteries don't last forever, unfortunately. so even if you found cartos to fit, the batteries would be needing replaced soon probably!

So, why not help your Dad make a new start with vaping? We can recommend better batteries than the Gamucci and better suppliers.

Your Dad sounds like vaping really would work for him with the right kit. Do you think your dad would be open to re-filling cartridgres? That's what most of us do.

Do you think your dad would mind if his e-cig was a bit bigger and didn't resemble a ciggie?

Do you think your Dad would be happy with a kit like this? It's very good value and one fully charged battery would last him the best part of the day. It has a 510 thread, which means that most common carts/cartos etc will fit on it so he would not be tied to one supplier!

Hello and welcome to the Forum (to both you and your dad). You will get lots of advice on here. I did a little search on the Gamucci's and found this www.gamucci.com/shop/uk/9-classic-cartridges

Though I would say that after that amount of time it is possible that the batteries will go on his. If you are looking at getting him something, there are loads of ciggy sized ones out there, and IMHO it would be worth while getting one that has what is called a 510 connector on it. that way you have a whole new world open to your farther and will be able to find replacements very easily and cheaply.

Your dad would be better off getting a battery with what is called a 510 connection. Then he would never run the risk of running out of options. It should be possible to refill his existing cartomizers (the cartridge bit) with e-juice of suitable strength. This Gamucci that you bought is most likely to be what's called a KR808-D1 connection. If you post a couple of pictures of the battery connection and cartomizer threads I might be able to point you in the direction of a few suppliers who'll post you some pre-filled cartos for immediate use.

The 510 connection is the most widely used and refills/cartridges are available from a number of reputable suppliers and this is the one I would most recommend..

Cheers guys my dads called Chris lol and not me. I set it up for him as hopefully here make it on here some time, being of the generation that didn't have computers hes not that good on them and he wouldn't have got this far. I'm just checking out the 510 recommendations, he says he likes the throaty hit more then the flavor not that he has used any flavors before. Cant believe the speed of all the helpful reply's
