Hi,i know it was advised to drill a second hole in the dc cart for better liquid absorption. But what about the people who were happy with one hole that find the 2 holes too much?I am speaking for my daughter who has had great success with them(mine were always burnt),the last ones she purchased had 2 holes and she is finding them a bit over the top. So,is there anyway to block up the second hole? I know i can still get the originals at the mo for her but i suppose all new stock will be the dual holes.

A cut off piece from a carto condom end, slide over both holes/the tube . . . then pierce through with a pin, the one you'd like to be operational?

A cut off piece from a carto condom end, slide over both holes/the tube . . . then pierce through with a pin, the one you'd like to be operational? That was the very idea I was about to suggest yesterday but silicone has a habit of self closing and piercing with a pin might not be enough.. Drilling or cutting a bigger hole with a sharp pair of scissors or an exacto knife in the condom on one side might work.. Edit add:You also need to remove a bung in the tank on one side to be able to make it work..

What about if you ' cauterized ' the hole Macca, would that stop it from self sealing?

What about if you ' cauterized ' the hole Macca, would that stop it from self sealing? Silicone has a very high resistance to temperature..There are baking trays made out of the stuff.. It would work but you will have to put something of a very high temperature to cauterize.. Basically there needs to be material removal.. Cutting a small hole with a small pair of sharp scissors should work..Just squash and cut a V shape from two sides should give you a rhomboidal shaped hole..

You could cut out the spiky bit from the bottom condom (sometimes it's loose e.g. on Boges) and wedge it onto the hole
