That could be what they call the "ironing board" James - you probably use its feet when it's folded flat and stood on end (I remember my mother folding up the ironing board) ![;D](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/uKg77DgrQpkBFJJN7U0P.gif) scylla x

Having 6 long haired cats (soon to be seven ![;D](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/uKg77DgrQpkBFJJN7U0P.gif) ) My vacuum cleaner gets used every day. On the other hand - can't remember the last time I dug out my iron ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/V_yPuiwBICIqOziN7BjO.gif)

Dripping directly on to a 510 atty does five things : 1) It makes you buy useless Drip Tips (which you could make yourself quite simply by cutting off the end of a Cartridge!) 2) It shortens the lifespan of the atomiser (and very easily ruins auto batteries!) 3) It leaks all over the place so wasting Juice (and forcing you to carry around a bunch of tissues like a little kid with a runny nose!) 4) It will randomly produce hot "spits" of Juice (that will almost make you puke!) 5) It will increase the number of "bad drags" you take (that will choke you half to death!) Basically Drip Tips are a pointless Yank invention ...... which has been promoted heavily by Vendors because they know it will bring them more sales in attys, battys and juice ....... don't fall for it !! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Now the smart way to "Drip" a 510, is to pull out your Cartridge and drop Juice straight in to the filler and then replace ....... all the benefits but with none of the drawbacks !! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Got to admit that I've not got into using drip tips & still prefer to fill cartridges.
I used to have a Dyson Perpy, but they are so blooming heavy. Got a lightweight Hoover Alyx that works really well & the cost to buy it was about the same as i would have paid just to have my Dyson serviced.

When I bought my Sebo from Allders (Croydon) I'd actually gone there for a Dyson but the staff persuaded me that a Sebo was better. I can imagine it is better than bagless, cos it's so easy and mess-free to change these bags. It's still very heavy though. Nigella and her late husband had exactly the same experience when they went to buy a Dyson in John Lewis ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/N0IhREh7uFcTjsME5Y1s.gif) scylla

I'm using my first ever Drip Tip on the GD PT and am quite liking it, although am sticking to carts on everything else as I'm a bit heavy handed and can see me easily flooding the atty. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/N0IhREh7uFcTjsME5Y1s.gif) Funnily enough Scylla, my ex was responsible for getting John Lewis to stock Dyson's in the first place during his 42years service with them - so I won't repeat that ancedote to him, there again perhaps I will. :-[ ![;D](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/uKg77DgrQpkBFJJN7U0P.gif) Have to say, despite their weight Chris ( although I used a newer much lighter model yesterday at a client's house ) I wouldn't have anything else now, especially with Sammy. But, I'm very lucky - we've a fabulous second hand place nearby, 'Wot Not' a bit like Steptoe's Yard where you can sell on just about anything and they've a chappie who supplies re-conditioned/ hardly used Dysons so I've never paid over £40 for any of mine - if they got phut after a couple of years at that price you can't go wrong!

Gosh, I'm jealous of your second-hand shop Perpy ![:'(](//storage.proboards.com/2973975/images/sU7cj5E4S5DphNAIOMRn.gif) <<<that should be a sulky smily, not a weepy one.
