Joan, you could try not inhaling the vapour right into your lungs, just sort of hold it in your mouth. The nicotine will still be absorbed into your bloodstream through the membranes in your mouth

you`re all so kind and helpful, thank you karma, when my asthma clears up, I will have to try not inhaling as you say as I smoke lite ciggies, I probably draw more strongly on both ciggies and e-cigs than someone who smokes regular strength ciggies and that won`t help Sandra, I went back to bed and just got up, the lack of sleep floors me as much as the asthma cough does

I'm also wondering Joan if it's one of the flavourings? You have 2 different types of pre filled cartos, don't you? are you finding it the same with both?

As you say that you stopped using the ecigs on Friday night, but then the asthma got worse through Saturday, it may possibly be unrelated. It is one of those things that is really hard to say, only you will know for sure over time what triggers the asthma. Did you know that many asthma inhalers use PG (propylene glycol) and it is also used to administer medication for lung transplant patients...of course that does not mean that you do not have a reaction to it, everyone is different, but it is generally considered pretty safe for inhalation, even for those with asthma. Flavourings on the other hand might well contain something that is a trigger for you, I would say that was the most likely if it is something in the e liquid. My brothers, sister and dad all suffer from asthma, so i know how bad it can be, I do hope you feel better soon.

thanks gaura, I don`t give up easily and I am very competitive so if e-cigs want a fight, so be it no I didn`t buy any fancy flavours, just ordinary regular strenth tobacco ones of all the flavours I have seen mentioned by people on here, I would fancy the coffee one most I think so I just made a cup of coffee and popped one of my carts in it - how long do you think I should leave it in ???

That's not going to work Joan In fact your cartomiser will not produce any vapour when you take it out of the cup of coffee as it will be too saturated with water.
