Well the Postman has arrived and I've already got the new kit running. All I can say is wow, just wow. I expected there to be a difference, but it's night and day. Very pleased. Thanks for all your recommendations and welcome's already everybody! Awesome. jax: Thanks for the welcome I keep hearing cocomel thrown around, this will be in the next pick n mix, I think! onedayillquit: The numbers look good (even with the initial expenditure!). discodes: that's about what I've worked it out as - but too early to tell, I've already got a hankering to buy more stuff!! (hide the cc!) chrissy: I've been back and forth between the UK and the US more times than I'd like to count. This most recent venture has had me in jolly 'ole for the last 2 years. perpetua: I take it griz named this juice after you? I can't find the thread now, but I was reading somebody else's intro yesterday who also had the skycig and there was a discussion about refilling the carts and using the pcc as a out and about pv. I've seen the condom method for refilling carts (boges) but I don't see how that will work with these carts (the condoms are tiny). Is it a drip tip jobby? Also - how long can I expect the batteries / vision ego's to last before they require replacements? That's all for now. Back to my Perpetu Leche - commonsense

The condom method is usually only used for the first fill of a carto. The skycig ones are slightly smaller diameter than a boge so the boge condoms don't fit either. I just top-fill my skycig cartos by dripping juice onto the wadding (being careful not to get juice down the centre hole)

On Visions, you should get a couple of weeks out of each but there are many variables. If you buy the ones with replaceable heads, you don't have to buy the whole device again, just new heads, which makes them cheaper and less wasteful to run. You can even recondition them with home made wick and atomiser coils if you really want your spreadsheet to squeak. Generally I find Visions a bit less faffy than cartos, but it's all down to preference. So many options. I budget a pair of batteries as six months for replacement, but you'll be lucky to get that far without buying a variable voltage mod if we're honest.

Welcome! Hangsen juices are good quality, my staple at the moment is HS Delight and HS Menthol sensation, and then doppio expresso for when I want something different.

Hi commonsense and welcome from me too. Looks like you have got a good kit to start with - makes all the difference! No US flaming on here - only the occasional problem with the British sense of humour, but I guess you must already be pretty familiar with that! I warn you we have a few comedians on here No one seems to have mentioned US juices, some of which you can get easily over here. Vermillion River is popular with quite a few of us for instance and is definitely worth checking out. You can get it here: www.uk-eliquid.co.uk/pages/eliquid

Hi folks, Just a quick check-in. Firstly, thanks again for all the really warm welcomes and extremely useful advice. I had a bit of a tough one on Friday night when out for dinner and drinks. My refill of the skycig cartos didn't go particularly well and had to resort to nasties - but only 3 over the course of the evening which is pretty amazing really. Got back home on Saturday to my home kit and things have been smooth sailing since. Really enjoying it and smokes haven't really crossed my mind at all. So far Perpetua, your flavor is probably my favorite out of my pick n' mix. I also quite like the 666, it doesn't really have a tobacco taste as much as advertised, but I really dig the nutty flavors. On a side note, I've just had a little bit of a stress after realizing that I may not be able to take my kit along with me on my business trip in mid-July. I'm off to Singapore for two weeks and understand that e-cigarettes are banned. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'd rather not have any issues at sing customs or fined or confiscated, etc. 2risky: Cheers for that - i had guessed that was the kind of shelf life so will be readying a few orders in preparation sg1: Thanks for the recommendations - have you tried the dekang juices as well? What are the differences between the two's normal tobacco / menthols? Cheers, - commonsense

Just a quick update on some of the stuff from my last post - may be helpful to some.
i did a forum search on Singapore and may have broken the search function because had no luck. Anyway, a quick Google Search revealed that indeed e-cigarettes are banned in Singapore. A number of people on aussie vapers forum have had experience coming in with their kit and not had any problems. I'm pretty risk averse by nature so am just planning to put stuff in my checked in luggage and take my skycig kit in carry-on.
RE: Juices, am placing an order for some menthol / tobacco flavors (and a few fun ones) from health-e-vape and am looking forward to that.
Anyway, cheers for all the help thus far!

Ah, sorry CS, I meant to come back to this thread yesterday with links to posts on ECF about e-cigs being banned in Singapore. And then got distracted & forgot to do so. There is a specific SG vapers sub-forum on ECF but unless you are already an ECF member with at leat 5 posts, you wont be able to post on it, but there might be some useful info for you to read - www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/sg-vapers/
