Maximum 4.0v charge on 18350's?

I have a number of 18350 batteries of different makes. I've read on other posts that a freshly charged battery gives 4.2 volts. Whichever batteries I use, when I check the voltage on my mini LT the best I get is 4.0

Is it more likely that my charger at fault, or the readout on my LT, or is 4 the best I can hope for?

A fully charged battery should be reading 4.2 but not any higher than that

I have a few cheap batteries and a few good ones (panasonic) and fresh out of the charger they read 4.1 on my LT. It is quite possible that your LT is not reading them right. do you have a multimeter to check them out?

I just bought a meter to test my mini-argento, and I got a reading of 4.14 from a 18350.

Mine usually charge up to 4.15 give or take so you would expect a reading of 4.1; the meter on your LT is not going to be 100% accurate, but the only way to check is to get a multimeter. What are you charging them with? That could also be the problem. You can get a mm for 5 quid or so and it is well worth it to check these kind of things. You could use it to check the resistance on your 'misers as well.

if i had to guess i would say your charger isnt quite hitting the top mark

I have just comissioned one of these to the cupboard and got myself a X-Star WP-II from Fleabay which is great I bought it from HERE just under £13 delivered and came within 3 days.

Yep oneday, I'd recommend an XTar charger too. See it as an investment

I bought the same one.....On the battery that came with the LT, I get a mm reading of 4.1 fully charged....I've just checked the cheap batteries I bought off flea bay & they're only showing 3.5.......Will re'charge them & see what they read then
