I just surprised myself by seeing how much i've spent on batteries over 16/17 months.I bought a mod hoping to make a saving on buying E-Cig type batteries and i've spent a whopping £21.50 So the mod cost £100 I think over-all its working out cheaper but how long do the ego etc type batts lasting.Anyone got figure to compaire?

According to what I have read the Tornado will last up to 300 charges. I am a light vaper so charging every two days should last me nearly two years. I have only been using mine for two months but its very good and does not lose vaper production until the last seconds of charge. I think this is very cost effective. Ken.

I'm going to be interested to see all the replies to this thread :-)
Ckc, I think I've spent about the same on the batteries for my 2 GG's since buying my GG Grant in June last year. I've never bought a generic e-cig battery since then, so can't help with a comparison.

My understanding is that ALL Li-Ion batteries will last about the same number of recharges. I reckon I've spent about $60 (US) on SD batteries (for both Mk1 and Mk2) and about $20 on 14500s for my Super Six in 18 months - I still have most of the batteries still working (I think I've binned $20 or so's worth so far)

I bought my first tornado kit on around March 2, and they're still going, been used every day since then. No dip in performance, still seem the same now as when new. Since bought a riva kit as backup for summer hols, they've only been used a fortnight, and are now back in the box. Silver Bullet batts, using the same 2 for 3 months now, no dropoffs, 18650s are the best I've used for long life and high power. Sd batts, had 4 on the go at the time, and they all felt like they were knackered

I mainly rely on GD-PT - for my Screwdriver MarkI I won't have spent more than £20 since early 09 but am struggling on weak old batts (appropriate! ) and rather duff new ones Am not counting the problematic SJ. scylla

Too late Kenny,i saw your other post(now gone), i was going to say the Tornado's so good you said it twice So looking at what Prof said(thanks Prof) it should still eventually work out better moneywise 'long term' to buy a mod type. I'm not dissing the Tornado it looks great, but they weren't about when some of us started vaping.I go through two batteries a day Buckowski, its good to hear someones been using them since March Scylla, plug and play has always been the better option for you
