Boots Pharmacy and PG

I went to pick up the PG I ordered yesterday from the Boots Pharmacy

He asked me what I was going to use it for? I didn't have a clue what to say ???

Sounds like he was just being nosy, it's not an illegal substance. I'd have asked him why was he asking!

He was worried I was going to drink it lol But, did I confuse him? When I went there yesterday and asked to order the PG (Pharmacist is a young guy) he wondered what it was?, so while he was looking in the books to see what it is and if he can order it in he asked me if I ordered it from there before and what I was going to use it for? Well, call me stupid, but I didn't know what to say, I only remember one of the PG or VG being for sore throats so I replied and said "It's not for me it's for my daughter I think she is going to use it for her sore throat" (Well, I couldn't say I'm making body cream at home so need the PG to put in there) lol I was lost! Well, he remembered what I said and today he kept telling me "Please this is not for oral use, confirm it with your daughter before you purchase it" grrrrrrrr but, it's not for my daughter it's for me and my e cig!!!!! lol

Anyway, it stated on the bottle EP and not BP and in one of the threads which I read from here stated it must be BP, USB or EU, so I left it and came home to find out if EP is ok? apparently it is ( I think), so tomorrow I'm going back to buy it, but what shall I tell him I'm using it for if he asks?

I once tried to buy a large quantity of citric acid, to make bath bombs with a youth group. the pharmacy only had very small boxes 'under the counter'. for larger amounts it had to be ordered in after the Spanish Inquisition

apparently it can be used to cut certain drugs

Surely we shouldn't have to hide the fact we want pg for our e-cigs? They're not illegal?

Perps is right though, no point getting into it, 'cosmetic use' probably the best way to explain it

Karma, It did cross my mind to tel him it's for e cigs, but I think the less they know the better. They will bump up the price, that's what worry's me

Dream, what unflavoured e-juice did you buy?

My original plan was to buy the nic juice in pg as on Health Cabin anyway pg unflavoured is the same price as vg unflavoured, then buy vg to dilute it as pure vg is much cheaper and you can just pick it up from the shelf

I buy large containers of citric acid. Can't beat it on price for descaling kettles etc.

lol Good Idea, but honestly I'm useless in knowing what PG is used for, I'm being honest, I'm not going to lie and keep it a secret on the forum as I'm sure I am not the only one (I hope) that is learning but, what crosses my mind is any question I or anyone else asks will help not only the person asking, but also the others only reading behind the curtains

If you don't ask you won't learn!

I remember when I joined the gym 10 yrs ago I asked so many questions I drove the instructors mad, but now I could qualify to be one where I have so much knowledge regarding the gym and exercises (No I haven't got a body to die for if your thinking that) lol use too, but no more!

So, that's me really love to learn the In's and outs of things, till I'm happy I know what I'm doing

Dream, I have heard of others being questioned over the purchase of PG. I think pharmacies may have to question people due to the fact that PG can be an ingredient that is used in explosive devices?

You are so right about asking questions. Doing so, not only helps the person asking the question, but will most likely help many of the thousand or so guests looking in every day.
