I started with a DSE901 kit, as there wasn't the choice to be had 2 years ago that there is now. Within a couple of days I was buying more atomiser's as they seemed to go pop after no use at all . . . within the week I was looking for something with more oomph and a better battery run time. It's been all downhill since.

Matty the first thing to say is that a lot of people never upgrade and are happy with what they have. I think those of us vapers who find our way onto forums like this start to see the potential of 'better' devices but also, just as importantly, find a new hobby.
My journey has been: Look-alike for 3 weeks, given to daughter SkyCig for 3 days before buying Riva kit Mini LavaTube after about a month and Mini Argento about the same time eGo Twists a couple of weeks ago
I still use all the kit except the looky-likey
oh and I just ordered a Provari

oh and I just ordered a Provari Although I do also agree OneDay, many Vapers never upgrade or see the need to do so. And why should they, if what they have works for them.

Tbh i said im upgrading but its not so much an upgrade as the kit i have suits me fine at the moment, ether that will change i dont know.
Reason i want the lt is because its a new toy, and steve showed me one last night and i think they look real smart. I can see vaping turning into a hobby for me, but at the moment its to stop me smoking

I started with Greensmokes cig-a-likes which got me off smoking in 2 days and are actually very good. When I started, it was a bit of an impulse decision and I deliberately avoided researching on forums because I suspected that would just lead to an overwhelming number of options and different opinions which would probably have resulted in me not trying anything. I am SO glad I did that because now that I know just how many options there are and how confusing it can be I know that is what would have happened. After a couple of weeks I started looking at other options. I was happy with Greensmokes, the flavours in the carts are very good (still the only tobacco flavour I have liked so far) but a little pricey and not really refillable. The main reason I ended up looking around is that with just 2 batteries, charger juggling was becoming a pain and the replacement batteries are very expensive at £20 each so I wanted to know what other options are available. And that opened up a whole new world to me that I didn't know existed Initially I was just looking to see if I could get replacement batteries at a more reasonable price but soon discovered that they use a different fitting to everything else. So my next move was a JacVapour PCC kit with Kr808D-1 batteries and carts. To be honest, this was really not an upgrade in many ways... it was better to have the PCC for charging and great to be able to easily refill the carts... but the vaping experience is inferior. So although I still use these on the rare occasion that I am not shackled to my desk, it's a purchase that I regret. By this time I was hooked... not just on vaping instead of smoking but on vaping as a hobby with all the obsessive desire to try all the shiny things that comes with it My first proper upgrade was a Mini Argento. Of course, once you start on that road you realise "I have a great battery device, now I need to try every possible thing to put on top of it... and every possible juice to put in the things on top of it". When I discovered that my throat is very sensitive to vapour temperature I decided to try VV to find what works best for me. I was considering a LavaTube, but Macca wisely suggested an Ego Twist instead... and I am very glad he did since I am very happy with it (and just ordered another ) For now, I think, I am going to be happy with my Argento and a couple of Twists. There are still a million and one different juice holders to try though... and even more juices... so the shopping continues but at a slightly decreased rate now that I am starting to find a few things that I am happy with.
