....or both? ??? Do I need new batteries - he says when these are less than 10 days old I have the ego-T - 3 of them, 900mAh and 1000mAh - I think? I think we can all agree the Twist is great, but I've just seen an ego-VV 1000mAh for not a lot of pennies. Do I get both? Should I get both? Should I get 1 twist? ...or should i get 2 twists? Is it better to stick with a well known make such as Joytech - as I think the VV is made by Smoktek - or however they spell their name? I don't know, at least I know my CE5's are going to be on their way, or up the road I don't know, it seems so daft, I have a 4.2v lithium battery of 4200mAh, okay it is a little biiiger than the cig batteries, but it can be charged at least 1000+times - and well it isn't really designed for e-cigs, but if these sorts of batteries already exist why can't we have a 2400mHh battery that isn't 10inches long, and that will charge 1000+ times or more in 30mins Why can't they stick little solar panels on them, or a tiny fan that will spin as we suck air through it that will put charge back into the battery? I need to top up my thingy tank clearomiser thing, it's only got 0.4ml left in it, and I'm fed up of the shakey smoke however a well employed technique of it vaping very well Any thoughts? ???

Philosophical mode on.
If you are REALLY getting into this then what you buy now will be obsolete in a few weeks/months anyway. If you are going to vape and have a little bit of cash there are progressive paths you will follow.
So, I bought my LT and Rica at the same time (Riva being backups), then the twist then Provari, if I skipped the initial flirting with vaping I would be a lot better off now, so if your a flirting with the idea of staying with vaping get the kit sooner rather than later.
To be fair, you can always sell it for a decent price if you don't get on with something like a Provari....

Bookmarked This is how my brain is working right now Tim, so is smoktech a good, bad ok brand? I think my ego battery is made by smoktech I have heard and read some bad reports about some smoktech products, especially in their Quality Control department. So my head says, "whoa, they're like a Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily - Found on road dead) - must stay away! Who knows? I personally have no experience with them, so I can't really comment. A Provari is just oo big and bulky, and I won't get on with it, so there isn't really anything that exists on the market at this point in time that I can look at and go - "want one" - but I would like to improve or better my vaping experience. We're all striving for perfection, looking for better and more efficient ways of getting a good Vape & Flavour, in the most effective way possible. I've just made a mistake filling my clearomiser up, i thought one of my needle bottles was empty, so I put in a mix of RY-4 & Karoffee-Kick, the bottle wasn't quite empty, so it has mixed with Vanilla Ice-Cream, and the clearomiser had banana in. It is quite a unique flavour - and when I breathe out, I get a cool sensation Think I need to go back to basics. Start rolling again, and start from scratch won't be too long before the open-university offers a diploma in vaping

I pretty much do similar things with computers, although I have calmed down a little bit (checks shoulder - well yes I have 32Gb of Ram in my laptop - but only because it could accept it, it would be rude not to)On the other hand - I won't get on with a Provari - the diameter it too big, same with the Bolt, and other 18650 type battery devices. If the the Twist is the best there is at the base end of this market, then I shall do the twist - wonders how many people will say "like we did last summer....." At least at this point in time, the batteries I have are good, it is really the delivery system I am failing with - okay, haven't reached perfection

I'm off on holiday for a few weeks soon so I will see how I feel about being out and about with a Provari with a tank strapped to it.....

I don't know the specific smoktech VV you are talking about... but all the VV batteries I have seen that are similar to Twists but aren't Twists don't have the same level of variability, they have 3 voltage settings rather than being variable in 0.2v increments as the Twist is. Considering that the price difference is likely to only be something like £5 I don't really see there being any competition - the Twist wins hands down.
It's not like comparing a Lavatube to a Provari where the price difference is very significant.

I would say go for the Twists, unless the other vv is a passthrough? I have a passthrough with just the 3 settings and I really do find it handy. It may not be as good as the Twist for vv but it's a great back up because of the passthrough function
