Got to admit though, I'm finding the ECCA forum a nightmare . Almost grateful it isn't too busy as it took me ages to find out how to stop getting emails when a thread was updated! IMHO, it is so wrong that the default is set to subscribe to every thread you post on - wrong way to get bums on seats.

And as for what ALL About was originally described as in the links section as being a West Country based forum just because I live in Cornwall?- so unprofessional. How the heck can any forum be classified as being based in any particular area? Bit of a contrast to say the least to how Roly described UKV He should have been consistent & described them as a Humberside/North east Forum as their founder, Jacky is from Hull.

Yes, I do know it is early days for ECCA but.....

And I still can't see where our lovely Perpy volunteered for chair. (((Perpy))), please don't feel you have to take up the position, you already do so much for this forum

I know what you mean about the ECCA notifications, my phone was on the go all the time! I thought I was popular all of a sudden. I see all the forum descriptions have been changed, it now says 'one of the first uk forums.'

I'm in agreement with you about Perpetua. I think she would be a great chair but there should be no reason for Perpetua to feel obligated to do it. I have been made to feel very welcome here by everyone, especially by Perpetua and I totally agree she does a great deal for this forum.

Chrissie ( and Perpy), it was thought that the right way that it should be done is people should be nominated and then they could just say if they wanted to do the job.No-one has said Perpy has to do it 'no questions asked' and she shouldn't feel in any way pressured to do it either :-)

Looks like ECCA is still looking for someone to type the Minutes though !

Lee, if you need filling in a bit further ....

... I very seldom delete posts as I feel that folks are entitled to their say/opinions. Instead I tend to move posts/threads to more appropriate areas. Where Perfectionist was concerned, his comments did upset a lot of members so I firstly moved most of them to his own rant thread, then moved the thread to the archive area, so if you want to see what we mean -

I tried to butter him up on ECF Chrissie, he just does his own thing and will not put himself forward His way of speaking offends people, but what he says - often - makes a lot of sense

Yes, very much a character Lee & I really liked him to a certain extent. However, I did have to eventually delete some of his last posts as his insult towards a very highly respected community member who had just had some very worrying medical test results back, was the final straw I do still wish that Perfectionist would put his gift of the gab to better use (without the personal insults). Sadly though, he just seems to critcise rather than put his money where his mouth is

Oops sorry Rusty, missed you there.

I completely agree - a lot he says does make sense. But folks would listen to him more if he stopped the insults. Often wonder if his Perfectionist id is a complete opposite to his real life persona?

It may well be Chrissie I wouldn't like to guess BUT he has been quiet since ECCA started taking shape. I hope he does get involved somehow, as he has a good insight into the legal world and that is invaluable for a CA.
