I have some of James' cartomisers which I'm very happy with...I usually only use LR atties and thought these would probably not provide much of a throat hit, but they really do.
So, I've read that you can refill them but presumably your best sticking with the same flavour? Or can you wash them out? Also...I'm sure I'm getting tiny shocks if I suck too vigorously...is this normal. Anyhow, I will without a doubt be using these on a regular basis. Thanks!

I'm just having my first go at cartomiser's Lindsay so I'm far from expert, but this is what I've read/found out so far into the carto experience.
You can get LR 510 carto's now, as a carto is designed to be disposable I shouldn't think it would be wise trying to wash out the filling - there's a little wirey thing inside anyway.
Unless it's a really strong flavour I'm vaping with I never bother washing my filling out anyway and just mix flavours until the original one goes away - Ive done that with the carto I'm using today. Doesn't seem worth the bother trying to do otherwise with something you're going to sling.
Haven't experienced any shocks so pass on that one.

I've just gone and filled one of mine with one of my new juices...I don't like it...looks like I'll have to chuck it and learn NEVER to use them to try out new flavours. I was going to buy the LR ones but then noticed how reasonably priced PV's were...glad I did now!

Refilling cartomisers: www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cartomizers&aq=fMost of them drive me nutz with their preambles and dawdling, take yer pick Take one of the silicone caps they come with and half fill it will juice. Slowly push the battery end of the carto into it - take your time, I turn mine upside down and swirl it around in circles to make the juice sink into the wadding, I kid myself. It works perfectly well, just practise, you shouldn't waste much in the effort. A carto lasts me a couple of days. After you've refilled them almost to death, you can also boil (simmer, rather) your cartos in a saucepan on the stove - also on YouTube. I haven't boiled mine yet, I'm saving them up As for electric shocks, I've had them myself and thought "What the heck happened? did I catch a tiny hair in it somehow?" cos that's almost what it feels like. Had you not said about it I'd have forgotten. So I'm just not sure what's going on there. scylla

I've also had what I thought was tiny electric shocks from Cartomisers. Never seen anyone else mention it so thought i was imagining it

Toppie Jimmy Thanks for the tip. Cheap as chips as well. Ken. PS Watch you don't get lost in the vapour though lol.

Refilled mine today using a drip tip and that's worked quite well - I may have a boiling session at some point then Scylla!

You seem to be the organised type of person who can cope with it. In case you don't get to look at a video - take out the little white caps before you boil, save them to re-use (unless you always use drip-tips).

I now think the 'shocks' might just be hot spits of juice as it only happens just after filling.

On the several occasions it's happened, it's almost as if an invisible hair on my upper lip got caught between the drip-tip and the carto - a very sharp sting. It only happened with my 510 versions. scylla
