Some beauties there. However, I'm going to refrain for the time being

Well my fluxomisers are still going great guns, so decided to try the Vision Stone II - same price as the 5 fluxos, about £8. If you register for their newsletter you get an automatic 5% discount. Can also confirm that postage is $5 and no problems with VAT! They ship straight away and it took 7 days to the UK. They will soon be stocking just the innards of this tank which should make it a very economical proposition. I have an old arry clearo tank which is the only tank system I have really got on with - the carto tanks just don't do it for me. Hence my interest in this. First point to note is that it is a nominal 2.1 - 2.3 ohms, in fact mine measured 1.8 ohms. This makes them more versatile that the 1.5 ohm DC tanks - you can stick them on pretty much anything. I even had it going on an SDK, but that is probably not a good idea! It is a solid job with a thick plastic tank threaded at both ends and a stainless steel top and bottom, so you can just unscrew the whole thing for cleaning or innards replacement. To fill you just unscrew the top and fill it straight from a juice bottle - totally faff free and a 5ml capacity. You do need to screw the caps on tight and once I had done that I have had no leakage from it. It comes with a drip tip or you can use a standard 510 one if you want. I've only got through half a tank full but so far I really like it. Good flavour and throathit at 4 volts and even at 5 volts it didn't get too hot. So, first thoughts, a great bit of kit at a very good price and to me knocks spots of a carto tank and totally faff free I would be interested to hear what others think of it. For some reason I liked it best on my Trio box mod - here it is:

I've had my Vision Stone for a couple of days now.. It's so simple to use. Have to admit that I had a couple of leaks because I didn't tighten things up enough. I was quite concerned about over-doing it and cracking the tube. It does seem to be very robust and I am enjoying the fact that it is faff free. Like it on my LT, love it on my GGTB. It also works well on my tornegorivas, although it does look a little odd! Delivery was quick and I would certainly order from gotvapes again.

My Stone arrived today!!! Once I'd figured out how to fill it (top loader, if that's not obvious from the pictures), and got the wick properly primed, have got to say not bad at all. Tried at lower voltages on the LT first, (using Whiskey Cream as the juice...), currently testing at 4.0, and once you get past the heat of the vapour (bear in mind the coil is right at the top), not too bad. Does completely change the flavour compared to my ickle carto tank though... not quite the flavour I was expecting. Still, going to use it tonight and tomorrow and see how I fare (will of course post the results...) <edit> For some reason mixed up the word "Bad" with the word "Bed"... </edit>

The more things I try, the more I think that my experience of something is definitely coloured by the juice I use in it. I almost always use mainly PG juice, so I mean just the different flavours. For instance I find that a powerful tastes like HS menthol knocks my socks off on almost anything. Things like Apple Tabac or Vermillion River Applewood though taste much better to me on things that really bring the flavour out - like the various versions of dripping I have tried. Bizarrely, my most used juice (FV cuban supreme) I am not so keen on in the things I find are absolutely the best on flavour, as they accentuate aspects of the flavour I am not so keen on! It's great in the Vision Stone though Don't know if that really makes sense - in a nutshell it's a subtle business!

Agreed, different juices do definitely have completely different flavours depending out delivery method... Okay then, the report from the first hour. It's not actually that good a report... At various voltages on the LT, I had wildly different results. Gonna go back to that shortly. Have tried it on my little VV (the one that only does 3.2, 3.7 and 4.2) and had more success... or so I thought. One thing that did happen, I do have to mention... Be careful when unscrewing this tank from your device. If you overtighten the bottom cap, you run the risk of it leaking out of the bottom for some reason. However, if you tighten to the grip point and not beyond it, it won't leak. But, and this is a biggie, when I unscrewed the tank from my little VV, I accidentally actually unscrewed it from the bottom cap and not the battery. Lost about 3ml of my Whiskey Cream Having said that, it's easy to clean (just rinse under tap, dry carefully - blotting the wick - and dry burn for a second, then put back together again). After that little mishap, I switched to another old favorite, Peaches. So far, after a minor false start, it seems OK. So, so far the pluses are: Easy to fill. Easy to clean. Can see exactly how much juice is left. Fairly good build quality. Fits any 510 drip tip. The minus points (for me): Easy to accidentally disassemble when removing from a battery/mod Wicking can be a bit of a nightmare - even at lower voltages, I did get a lot of burnt taste going on. (Best fix is to tip it upside down for a few seconds and then right side it). Juice can condense and drip back into the area the tip fits in, leading to gurgling and in some cases juice in the mouth. The rubber cap at the top (inside) has to be in a certain position to stand a chance of wicking properly; this cap can shift position when you're screwing the top cap back in place. Best tips: Although it claims a 5ml capacity, I wouldn't put more than 3ml in it at the moment. I'm not 100% certain exactly what's causing the gurgling, but am theorising it's a couple of things - the wick dripping into the bowl under the coil when it's not in use, and condensation dripping back into the same place. If it starts to burn, tipping it upside down and then right side up a couple of times seems to help it wick again. Watch what you're doing when taking it off a battery... Now if anyone's got any advice they can offer, I'm all ears...

Funnily enough I had the opposite experience with the bottom cap - I had to screw it up quite hard to stop leaks. I guess it is something to do with how the silicone ring sits in it? So in my case there is no chance of it unscrewing when I take it off the battery. I have found with all the clearo type things I have used that it is best to keep then horizontal and even tip up sometimes, otherwise as you say you get a burnt taste. Using the VS like that I have had few problems with it, but I haven't tried any juice that is particularly challenging in the wicking department. I also find that you can get "gurgling" with it and think you are spot on in suggesting it is best not to fill it right up as that definitely accentuates the problem. I also find that you get a bit of liquid pooling under the drip tip. With the coil at the top I guess condensation etc. is inevitable. I suppose the only answer is to take the tip off and give it a mop from time to time. All in all though, despite these downsides I still like these - in fact I have just ordered another one For me the advantages of better flavour etc. compared to carto tanks make it worthwhile.
