It's coming in via the juice control then, did you make sure the mouthpiece was in the closed position before you filled penelope and put on the top cap?

Strip it down and rebuild her from scratch following scots vid, also take note of this that I posted earlier in the thread Scot always does an easy to follow plain and simple review doesn't he One thing he never mentioned on there is the top cap, if you over-tighten it, it will compress the O-ring and force it against the mouthpiece making it very hard to turn so if you find your mouthpiece is a bit stiff when you try to adjust the juice control you just need to loosen that top cap slightly. Secondly, put a smidgeon of vasseline on the O-rings to prolong their life and improve their seal. And if you re-fill penelope with liquid when it's still half full turn it upside down before you close the juice control, that'll prevent any juice being forced up the wick channels and into the ceramic because from there it will head straight down the air tube to the battery. And lastly scot advised to screw down the top cap slowly after filling but he never said why- it's because if you screw it down to quickly then you create a lot of pressure very quickly inside the tank which will force the juice through any gap it can find- screwing it down slowly allows time for the pressure to dissipate. This is the best wick and wire rebuildable I've ever had the pleasure of using Take it slowly and make sure that no wires are protruding from anywhere when you put it back together

Lovely news to tune in to tonight! You'll get it Esme. These rebuildables can take a little tinkering with to get them up and running properly, I've every confidence in you. Jay, you shouldn't have to pay any import duty, as Greece is in the EU, I certainly never have from Esmokeguru. It might be worth throwing yourself on Vassilis's mercy and asking if he will accept PayPal . . . just this once on your Penelope.

When you've done, make sure that the positive wire (the one that connects to the center post and runs down the ceramic channel) is not protruding from anywhere, it can't touch any part of the tank or the mouthpiece because that will cause it to short out. Make sure that your coil is within the confines of the ceramic. Make sure that the mouthpiece is fully closed BEFORE you fill the tank and make sure you screw on the top cap slowly to allow any pressure to dissipate.

Esme if you put it on the battery without the tank and mouthpiece does vapour come off the coil when you press the fire button?
