You will indeed Ellen . . . honestly you've done brilliantly well, it is your first rebuildable after all, so don't be downhearted.
Wish I'd had as much success as you have, when I first went down this route.

You will indeed Ellen . . . honestly you've done brilliantly well, it is your first rebuildable after all, so don't be downhearted. Wish I'd had as much success as you have, when I first went down this route. If it wasn't for Scott's video, I would have been screwed, or driven you guys even more crazy with questions I struggled to follow the coil making on the Odysseus video and the first time I tried to twist the wires together, I'm not really sure what I ended up with but it wasn't right and I threw it away lol But the 2nd attempt was fine, my coil actually looked very neat and it fired up straight away, I was so surprised and pleased with myself, that's when I broke the ceramic At least I know I can make a coil that works, the bitch for me is going to be sorting out that airiness (not just the feeling but the sound it makes...so airy) and trying to get her to produce better vapour and flavour..... She's vaping fine at the moment, but it's not really good or great and not what I've already seen she's capable of, it's only when I switch to a LR carto that I realise that I'm really not getting much vapour or TH or even the best flavour from Penelope. Ŵill be better when I can test the coils too, I've been vaping at a low voltage because I've no idea what resitance the coil I made is, will have a multimeter later today. Anyway that's enough of my rambling, I'm sorry for my endless questions and cries for help, but I do truly appreciate everyone here.

Practise really does help Ellen, as much as it's incredibly frustrating and disappointing when your coils/set up don't go right first time . . . I'm far from expert so I still get duff set ups on occasions, but they are getting fewer now. It's taken time for it all to click with me, experimenting with different wicks etc, as I'm not a technical type of person, far from it. Infact I've a DID Genesis style rebuildable, that I've been putting off setting up for some weeks now . . . . .

Noooo Perpy, haven't you tried your DID out yet, I was throwing the idea of getting one of them.

I haven't got round to it I'm afraid Sandra, with Penelope it's got pushed onto the back burner. :-[ I have to be in the right frame of mind to explore uncharted vaping territory.

Give us an update when you do please Perpy Back to topic, how much lighter is the Penelope to the Ody?

I'll go weigh them and report back >>>>>>>>

Penelope weighs 50grams and the Odysseus 67grams.
But that is with one of Kir's clear tanks on the Ody, so that keeps the weight down a bit Sandra.

My Penelope is waiting for me to collect him.
(Has to be male really, since it looks as if he isn't going to be easy to manage.)
I was quietly confident about assembling him correctly.
Now I'm not so sure..
I'll bring him home tomorrow and assert myself.
Wish they came with more than one wirey/wicky thing!

Do you live anywhere near me in london esme? I'll happily meet you somewhere and build that penelope for you, I could then take you through the whole thing step by step and explain the hows and whys, understanding the engineering gives you a whole new outlook on it. Blakey........... that would be very nice of you and I'd appreciate it I think that's what I need is someone to actually sit and go through it with me. I don't live in London, in East Sussex but could pop up on the train. At mo pretty busy during weekdays.................but weekends OK at present. PM me with a suitable time and I'll jump train and make my way up. Cheers Blakey.............. I was starting to believe that it'd all end in tears lol @ Jason......... I think it should be me that gifts Blakey with Cocomel

I think that's probably a wise decision Esme, even though you've been itching to get her going. One thought from me... if I understood correctly you did initially build a coil that fired, but you couldn't get vapour after you put the mouthpiece and tank on? If that's the case, after filling her did you unscrew the mouthpiece a half turn or so to open up the juice control? Anyhow - rest, relax, come at her fresh another day when you're ready yes oneday............ I was so proud of that first wick and coil, it fired and everything, the mouthpeice was closed but when I opened it, it just leaked all over the place............ dont ask me, I still dont know what happened

Esme, I'm so pleased that Blakey is close and able to help you, in a few days time yours will be running better than anyone's, I've tinkered with mine again, all the while picking up pieces of ceramic off the floor and trying to slot them back in and I turned the ceramic housing like Blakey said and made what i think is a much better coil...getting amazing TH, flavour and vapour now, she is worth it
