We had a room perpy, it was jasons dungeon cellar, but griz kept complaining about the light, said he wasn't used to it and it was hurting his eyes

no he doesn't perps, and he gets quite angry when you touch his mixing cauldron, but he's easily avoided if you stand by the wall. His chain doesn't reach that far

Blakey its still not working

I've followed your guide and got to the point where you test fire the wick and coil.............. nothing is happening.

I think I know what it is, the threads on the housing connected to the mod are still so stiff that no amount of vaseline is loosening then and the centre post is not protruding enough. Its also shearing off the ends of the wick too

Any suggestions??

Have you tried screwing the ceramic housing down into the base with no wick set up/ bottom o ring several times Esme?

Are you able to get the central post protruding doing this?

yes hun........... it just wont screw right down with the coil and wick in, I've checked all is ok in the channels etc, but it screws to a certain point and then goes very stiff.

the post is only just poking its head out, not at all like in one of blakey's pics!!

Try this..Take out the big O-ring out from the base and screw in the housing into the base as far as it will go. Do this a few times and it may free the threads up..

Do the threads feel quite free and smooth when you do that without it set up Esme? If not you need to work it some more.

That small o ring, being new also needs to flatten down a bit, have you anyone with maybe a stronger grip who could put a bit more pressure on the screwing down of the ceramic housing?

I just dont know what to think of this..................... if I take the o ring off it screws ok but put it back on and no amount of pressure will get the post down, either way with or without the o ring, no firing............ I've tried everything possible............. either I am stupid or there is something missing that I havent picked up, either way I cant go on like this!! Again I have tried to set it up all night and nothing!!

I want to use it, but there is something I am doing wrong and I just cannot see what it is!!

Is the small knurled nut on the posi post which tightens against the washer able to go in all the way..If not:

1. Remove the fatter O ring on the posi post

2. Remove the knurled nut.

3. Remove the plastic spacer.

4. Put the knurled nut back on and screw it in all the way..If you meet some resistance use some cloth and put a bit more pressure and keep going.

5. Once the small threads on the posi post are freed up, refit plastic washer, nut and O ring and make the posi connection.

Can you get the central post to protrude as far as this Esme, without the coil set up and the bottom small o ring in place? If you can't, then the threads need more work to loosen them up, plus is your ceramic held firmly in place by the nut that goes down inside it so there's no play on the post.

I think that may be the best oneday......... because all I'm doing is wasting wick & wire by the shedload lol

The sooner I get help and then able to do it the sooner I can enjoy it
