Can you get the central post to protrude as far as this Esme, without the coil set up and the bottom small o ring in place? If you can't, then the threads need more work to loosen them up. Perpy hun............... it is like that when you screw it in before the wick is fixed onto the ceramic........its when the wick is all housed and then its screwed in. I dont know whether to take it apart and smear the lot with vaseline and leave overnight and then try again??

You've nothing to lose Esme . . . but I think if you're getting that result without the coil being set up in it, then you need someone with a bit more grip to get it tightened down that extra bit.
It is really quite stiff that last part, I had a job with mine.

I know you've had so much different advice Esme it must be doing your head in, but if you can get it threaded in without wick but not once it's wicked it could be that you're getting the end of the wick trapped in the threads, making the final tightening so difficult??

I just dont know oneday I know that I have to keep picking wick fluff out of the base and it has sheared off and that is when I've put some juice on to stop fraying. Could it be iffy wick......... but everyone else has been fine with it? Lol I will just have to keep twisting and try to free it up;D I just dont have any strength in my hands or wrists so twisting with pressure is just not possible I will try again tomorrow lol

Don't you have a neighbour or friend who would possibly be kind enough to help you?

Just a thought esme, but it is very easy to get a bit of wick or wire in the way when you are tightening things up - I've had this happen a couple of times and it is very difficult to see but will prevent the housing screwing down enough. The wick and wire in the metal channel are the usual culprits, so worth just unscrewing a bit and making sure they are both tucked out of the way.

Can you get the central post to protrude as far as this Esme, without the coil set up and the bottom small o ring in place? If you can't, then the threads need more work to loosen them up, plus is your ceramic held firmly in place by the nut that goes down inside it so there's no play on the post. I think the problem with my airy draw is some problem with this above picture, I tried several times yesterday (today) to loosen up mine by screwing the housing into and out of the base over and over, I cannot get mime to protrude anything like that and I've really really tried and yet my airy draw is because it's protruding too much? I'm so confused

I'm so confused It will also depend upon what device you use your Penelope on as well Ellen, it's possible you'd find your current set up of it, is perfect on something else. I think we have to also remember that Imeo has designed this with a specific mod in mind. Mine are still ever so slightly too airy for my taste, it's almost the thickness of piece of paper that they probably need adjusting by.

That's a good point Perp, but it may also mean that it wont work for some people unless they know to adjust for some devices, last night I got home, relax with a bit of a vape, my twist dies almost immediately and because I've set it up less airy it won't work on my Riva, some people setting it up might not realise
