Well both money and health had always been the reason and I gave up originally for six years, after a relationship broke down and a silly night in a pub,six years went down the drain, the biggest problem was that when you go back, you go back harder and you live on the false security that as you have done it before you can do it again, not true years later I couldn't give up,then my dentist started nagging me,I had developed bad gum disease and then it got so bad I was told I would soon need to go to a dental hospital as it had got so bad, thats nbot the point were I started vaping,a half hearted attempt on E Lites until suddenly I woke up one day and a tooth just came completely loose, not a back one,one quite near the front and then this thing called vanity kicked in,being 50 single and still with a breath of hope I wont be single the rest of my life,I realised if I don't put the ciggies down now I'am not going to appeal to anyone or have any self confidence

I smoked rollies for ten years. Managed to give up using the Allen Carr easyway book...for a year..then had a rollie when I was out drinking, and for the next 2 years I struggled with the casual smoking - I'd go out for a drink, buy a box of Amber leaf and some filter tips, smoke all night, then before bed I'd fill the tobacco pouch with water and throw it out my window (there are still 7 or 8 rotting yellow packets in the guttering outside).
This was sort of OK (despite the self-hatred), as I only drink on weekends, but then I went to Kos last year, and I was holidaying with other smokers, and since I was drinking all day, every day, I was also smoking all day every day. Came back to Cardiff after a week totally hooked again....so quit all over again and the cycle continues.
The thing that's kept me a casual smoker is the fact I do karate and will be going for my black belt soon....just a few fags on the weekend and I could really feel the difference when training.
Anyway. I'm going to Turkey and Kos again in Sept, and I was worrying about the smoking thing - considered champix and even ordered some Bupropian online (which didn't work). Then I heard about e-cigs.....
And now I can honestly say that I prefer vaping to smoking and would never go back. Woohoo!
