You just need to remove the hard bung from the mouth end of the cartomiser & drip e-liquid into the wadding inside If you want to stick with a ciggie lookalike, this is a cheap alternative to the e-lite - you can use any standard resistance cartomisers with it (use discount code allabout for 10% off) - www.vapeescape.co.uk/rechargeable-e-cig-%28510%29~188However, any ciggie lookalike is going to have poor battery life due to it's size, so you would do so much better going for something more cigar size such as an ego or Riva like this - www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151

I didn't know you could refill these screw on cartridges. Is that a bit like refilling empty ink cartridges on a printer? The same principle. Don't refill your e-cigs with ink though, there are much nicer flavours to be had

Thanks for the advice and the web links. One forum question - is there a way that when someone posts on this thread I get an email to let me know? I've seen this done on other forums I've used in the past and it seems to work well. This next statement might make me instantly unpopular with the vast majority of you forum regulars; but here goes I really can't be bothered farting around with refilling my own cartos. Some people buy wine making kits from Boots, whilst others just buy the real McCoy off the shelves at the supermarket booze section. I buy my booze at the supermarket and I want to buy my cartos somewhere cheap too. Not necessarily a supermarket, but ideally an e cig website that does cartos that are compatable with E Lites, but a lot cheaper. Does anyone know of a site like that?

Nothing wrong with wanting the convenience of not having to fill the cartos yourself. What you will find though is that taking that approach will limit your choice of flavours (and nic strength) greatly as well as being FAR more expensive. If you don't mind the extra expense (I would guess it could easily end up costing 10x as much to keep buying prefilled) and the limited choice of juices then go for it Refilling cartos is actually very easy... it can be a pain though if you vape a lot since you will find them needing topping up regularly. Have you considered other options such as clearomisers or tanks? Since they hold a lot more juice they need refilling far less than a carto.

Hi guys, Thanks for all the posts. I don't know how to say this without sounding offensive, so apologies in advance, that is not my intention. As a smoker I would never dream of sitting and rolling my own ciggies. I found people who did that were akin to those who brew their own beer or make their own wine. I'm just a normal working class bloke, who used to nip into the corner shop or Tesco express on his way to or from work and buy my fags. Convenience, not the cheapest I know, but it suited me. By now using e cigs I will be saving money, which is great, but that isn't why I'm switching from tobacco to vapour; it's mainly for health reasons. Is this forum really just for people who fill their own cartos or smoke something that looks like a fountain pen or a gazzoo? I would feel silly puffing on any device that didn't look like a tobacco ciggy. Am I the only one on here who thinks that way? Sorry if that view rubs some of you up the wrong way, I just find it incredible that the UK "brands" like e lites, vip, nicolites and others all seem to have different threads on their cartos or slightly different diameters - 8.5 or 9.0 or 9.2 or 9.3 ??? I'm in engineering and find standardisation is the best way forward, but these ciggy companies all seem to want the monopoly > I'm trying hard not to go back to tobacco and buying disposables at a local convenience store until I can either find cheap carts that fit my e lite battery or a ciggy company with products of equal quality but cheaper cost. I live in hope

I live in hope This is sooooo not the type of forum where people are going to be offended by you wanting to do things your way or expect you to agree with how we like to do it! I think most of us started off thinking that an ecig should look like an analogue cig... nothing wrong with that, it's perfectly logical and natural to feel that way. What happens to the majority of people though is that they quickly stop being smokers or thinking like smokers and become vapours and with that comes a different set of criteria and a different set of habits... so we end up wanting devices that produce the best vaping experience rather than trying to replicate the smoking experience. If that's not for you, no problem, as long as you are happy and it helps you with your goal to quit smoking then we couldn't be happier for you! As for the non-standardisation of cig-a-like brands... I completely see the business logic behind that and don't expect it to change. They want to achieve the kind of brand loyalty that smokers are inclined to... they want customers for life.

Hi smokingun,I have exactly the same Marlboro E Lite pack, demoted to the glove box of the car for emergencies,I dont know of any cheap carts for them,if you dont like mucking around, for the same money as you pay for E lite carts simply get one of the smaller battery kits around 280mah,you can buy prefilled cartos still have something that doesn't look to far removed from a ciggy and get a better vaping experience, this may help you quit and job done or it may make you want to enjoy vaping and go to the next level. In my experience its not just the cartos that are expensive for E lites, the batteries have a high failure rate and will cost you more as well

I originally bought this ecig www.smokerelief.co.uk/electronic-cigarettes-mini-starter-kitBefore buying my gazoo Hubby has since stolen it off me as he claims it's better than the matching gazoo I bought for him (!!), the site also does prefilled cartos fairly reasonably priced to go with them too. I/we've recently taken to refilling these cartos with juice as well. I know you said you didn't fancy doing that yourself, but the option's still there.

SmokingGun, hello and welcome from someone else who started on e-lites! I can understand you wanting to stay with something that looks like a cigarette, I was like that originally. Mr Fan still prefers a cig-a-like (despite the battery life), and as we have plenty of the cartomisers for them, I fill either four or five at a time, which takes about 5-10 mins and means that he's good for a few days. I find it easier with the sample bottles than with the bigger bottles, so I bought a needle topped bottle and just drip it round the sides. If you aren't overly bothered about what colour they cig-a-like looks like, someone on here recommended a good little kit with 510 batteries in it, I'll see if I can find the link. You'd need to buy some cartomisers (prefilled or otherwise ) to go with it, as it comes with atomisers and cartridges separately. It does come with a small bottle of juice though. I'll see if I can find the link.
