I might have to give this a go next time I do some wicking

Well, I couldn't resist.
My cotton wool pad didn't quite split as evenly as his did, and
it didn't have any discernible grain to it.
Nevertheless, I was able to twist into a kind of wick shaped thing.

The hardest part is getting it threaded through the coil - I ended up
poking it through with a fine 1.0mm crewdriver (the eye end a of
needle would probably work too).

Once there's enough through to grab a hold of, just twist it right through,
gently. There's more strength in the cotton wool than you think.

The rest was as described.

It vapes very well, with a nice clean flavour. Mine seems a tad gurgly, so
maybe it's not perfect, but not bad for a first go.

The other benefit of ding it this way is I can wind my coil on a screw thread
and get a nice neat coil. It can be held steady whilst setting in place down the
slots with a needle or very fine screwdriver.

Nice one dom, just be careful to keep that wick very wet at all times as they burn very easily

I have used cotton candle wicks and wicks made from bandage gauze..They all give a very good flavour and wick extremely well..

But they all char quite easily and it's vile when it burns..Probably best used in a bottom coil device...

I've still yet to try the medical gauze I've got as wick.

Although just wondering if you could cut strips of fluval to use? Would it wick, or would the juice just sit there. ???

New visions arrived today so im going to re wick one and compare the 2
