Guess I ought to introduce myself....

I'm useless at writing introductions about me - so I tend not to!
Howeer seeing as i've already got somewhat hooked on this forum I thought it only fair that I break that today and say hi!

I'm Sarah 29 years old and live in Suffolk. I live with my fiance (of seven years but at least the weddihg is booked now!) our two dogs, 2 cats and a hamster. I normally keep fancy rats but am haing a couple of month break now as i lost my last one a few weeks ago (I dont normally keep them solo as they NEED their own company but this was a special circumstance)

i started smoking, having hated it all my life, in my early 20's due to whatever the opposite of peer pressure is! Basically I was on a course for 3 months and everyone including the leaders apart from me smoked) one day I asked my friend if I could try one - she did her damndest to stop me but eventually she gave in expecting me to choke on it and never have another one - however I didnt, in fact I quite enjoyed it, and from there on in was hooked! I've given up a few times - longest was for a year, then my fiance got diagnosed with cancer, and I reached for my old friend again!

I started vaping as an interim measure to get me off the fags - starting with a really cheap VIP cigarettes starter kit - but couldnt use my own liquid so I changed to an innokin aio from jacvapour after having read reviews - and now I am as hooked on these as I was cigarettes! The good news is though I havent had a real cigarette since the day I started the electronic ones!

I know I'm still on a very basic kit and am humming and harring about taking a step with my kit! So forgive me if I ask loads of questions. (the reason I havent done yet is because that would be symbolic of me not planning to quit these - they'd be more than a stop smoking aid (which I know they all say they aren't anyway) and more of a hobby / habit. ???

Hi and welcome Sarah. There are a couple of other rat keepers on the forum already so you're in good company. As far as vaping goes, most people don't want to quit it, we have swapped one addiction for another and gained a hobby in the process

Thanks for all the lovely welcomes - fiances health is better this year thank goodness because mine isn't!!! Am suffering from Gall Stones and Endometriosis and have been quite poorly with them! my Gall Bladder is going to it's final resting ground later this month though, and hopefully they'll have a look at my endo too - if not that'll have to be a seperate operation!

Glad there are other ratty people on here - wonder if I know any of them!

And Perpetua no offence but not everyone has a wedding to save for!!!! Stopping smoking was one way I could find to save pennies - not transfer them! LOL!!!!
