Didn't Migsie have a geriatric Super Mini atty that refused to die? Way past 6 months, IIRC. I am a repository (that means "dump" ) for suppliers to send faulty hardware to scylla

Probably a totally facile comment but I have found that black or titanium ones seem to last longer than the 'coloured' ones..
I did say it was a facile remark...

You've reminded me that I bought some gorgeous looking blue and red 901 batteries when they first came out - they were totally USELESS.

"Last" with an atty is a matter of perception - if you think an atty is lasting really well, try comparing it with a new one - mostly you will find it is actually not working very well at all...

It's a pity though that atties are such a weak link. It's not so much the cost - although when an attie costs around a fiver unless you buy in bulk, the savings for a 10 to 15 a day smoker like me are not huge when you get a batch that die in a couple of days. It's the sheer unreliability that bugs me, and has so far prevented me from becoming a whole-hearted vaper. I can't help wondering how many prospective vapers are totally lost to the cause by the disappointment of dodgy ones. I would definitely pay more for reliable atties, the health benefits would make it worth it and the only reason I keep trying when I get frustrated.

I'm pragmatic about this. If I was still smoking around 30 Silk Cut a day I'd be spending around £9 a day - enough for an atty, new SD battery and 2.5ml of juice every day!

I usually have at least 8 Supers on the go at once - have 4 chargers. These days I rarely seem to change the atty!! I bought two TW's packs when they were on sale. I've only used one atty out of them and that was to make sure they worked!! When a Super dies on me these days - it usually means they need charging or topping up with juice Every so often I give them all a clean up etc. A bit different from the early days when we poked and prodded, flushed out and many other things every five minutes!! I threw away loads of atties then, probably didn't need to. MM PS Scyll - I have a few of the blue ones as well, they seem to be okay too. MM xx

The 10 week atty I had, it performed at full power the whole time, then dropped off enough to make it unusable for me, but it didn't die. I think I've only ever had 1 atty that died.
The price of atties against quality control used to bug me when I first started vaping. I think it's pretty expensive to be paying £6 per atomiser and for it to potentially become unusable after a couple of days can become an expensive lottery.
But thanks to sales here and there, and the odd overseas orders thanks to the good people of this forum, it's pretty easy to get stocked up with a reserve of not so expensive atties, so when the odd dud crops up from time to time, it's not quite so painful to chuck them away.

At the risk of being horribly repetitive here . . . . but I saw someone say that old atty's never die they just get used on a GD Passthru . . . . it really is true, shove a fading atty on it with a mains adaptor, the extra voltage sparks new life into the thing.
The PT pays for itself with the extra life you get from your atomisers.

And you are not being horribly repetitive either. You are just in helpful mode and I love it. Ken. x((( perpy )))
