UPDATE ON MY MOVE......had a visit from another Housing Manager today (I do know him).....It seems I am first in line as a result of 'bid' I put on last list.
As I hadn't heard anything (except I was in top five), I assumed I was out of the running. But he seemed to say I have first choice.
I have to wait until it's refurbished before I can view. He says it is much the same size as my present flat, which is good.
It is not exactly where I want to be. It's not far from here and has a good reputation though.

BUT, I do know there will be at least one other flat becoming available in the complex I favour and I hope that will be on the next list.

I asked, if I turned it down after viewing, would I jeopardize my status - he said not at all but .. I wonder?

Oh well, I'll see what comes up on the next list.....fingers crossed!!

I did like the sound of this offer being similar size to my own. hmmmmmm!!

Hi Scyll, He wants to wait till it reconditioned before I see it. I would sooner see it now and ask for my own suggestions to be included - like I don't want/need a cooker!!!

Anyway, it really is only a short walk from here, so will go and be nosey over the weekend.

I'm in panic mode now - woke up in a sweat - thinking of organising removals etc Still loads to pack/chuck. MM xx

Sod's Law - the one I have been waiting for has come up on the new list today!!! I have made a 'bid' and am the first one to do so........!!

At least, cos my friends live there, I can go and see exactly where the flat is situated. One side of the complex is very dark because of very tall trees which cannot be lopped much - preservation.

Oh, its all happening now and I feel sick with enormity of all I have to do. Removal people, skip runs etc. and I don't drive. Changing addresses and accounts .......Oh dear.....help!!!
