I did an abseil at the hospital last year, i can honestly say ive never been so scared in my whole life...looking over the edge of the lift shaft, 6 floors up, at the little people on the ground....but im so glad i did it.....

video is available, btw, its actually quite funny, as i fell over in the harness and couldnt get back into position, when i was just over the edge.... :-[

It was for Anthony Nolan Trust, i raised £300 doing it, i put my name down in a brave moment, instantly regretted it, but cos i was the only one from our ward to do so (apart from Jackie, the sister, she's done it before) i felt i had to go thro with it....

But Gordi's brother, who was in the army, and was watching, said they played the top rope out too much, so i ended up lying in the harness, almost horizontal, instead of in a sitting position, which is the correct way....towards the end, you can see me swinging away from the building, and waving my legs frantically to try to make contact again....it was round about that point that i just completely lost it, i was almost rigid with fear

would i do it again....NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
