Perhaps not "Vape mail" but rather "Make a vape mail" A mate and I are formulating a plan. He has sent this lot over. There be lots of parts that properly belong inside a mod. That is an Evolve DNA 75 among the bits and bobs. Nothing soon - but talks are happening and plans being drawn up.

Lovely work wildpolecatClean, neat, well executed and very useful/practical. What more could you want? And certainly far more "crafty" and "artistic" than I've managed with my far more basic efforts.

TBH I've always read that apart from a DNA device it is wise to stay away from direct USB charging but with multiple batteries Yes - for SERIES cell configurations (*), that's my understanding too. It's a little different iffn the mod (*) has the batts in parallel - especially if it's a parallel mod that will run on either one or two batteries. (which most likely means the battery sled has 'em permanently wired together and therefore any onboard charging MUST be balanced - and easy to test with a multimeter). At least, that's as far as I understand it. Dual Parallel regulated mods are rather thin on the ground though. * For regulated mods...

Crack the window when ya vaping. Blow your vapour toward the gap. Helps to reduce how quick the build up happens.
** Yeah - I know, it's cold there *shrug* So turn up the heater. But set it to "defrost" to push the air over your windscreen which helps keep the vapour away from the screen.
All that said - I reckon the film buildup from vaping is no where near as bad as the scrunge from cigarette smoke.

Nice one DaveJ I think I'll start with no flavour for him then because if that works it will be the cheapest way. He uses 16mg so it will probably taste like a good dirty ashtray anyway. As Perpetua says, if it works then it's good Exactly as Perpetua says - if it works it's good! Of course, everybody's different. But it may well be worth a go for your new convert. I remember when I first swapped from cigarettes. I didn't listen to all those who had gone before. I insisted I needed something that tasted like the smokes I was giving up. So I started with tobacco flavours that were, to me, absolutely hideous (and glugged up coils terribly). Finally, in frustration, I listened to those who had previously tried to tell me "no - you really do not want a cigarette tasting vape". Remember too - at that stage tastes are likely messed up and prolly will change/recover soon after their big change. Likely your new vaper friend may well experience similar. So, what they first like in a vape flavour is likely to change and perhaps quite quickly. I suggest, for any potential person switching, having 2 or 3 very different flavours available (maybe including unflavoured) to give them a choice of what they prefer, and, perhaps a sample of the flavour possibilities now open to them. Oh - and easy to understand/use/maintain reliable gear - at least to start with. Well, that's my opinion anyway Whatever way you go, good luck to you helping out your friend.

Now, that looks nice. Not nice "yeah OK" nice. I mean nice "I'd really like to own that and I'd pay good money for it" nice.
Beautiful work. Enjoy vaping with it.

I was just reading that somebody vapes just nic, pg and vg and it's the closest thing he's found to smoking. Hmmm strange I'd be one who says that. And, maybe, it is strange. *shrug* But it does work for me. When smoking, after those decades of killing my taste buds, I certainly wasn't tasting any sort of tobacco. Smelling the stuff before lighting up, sure, but not when actually burning the stuff. It seems to me that many vape tobacco flavours do well reproducing the smell/aroma of the tobacco in the packet - especially some of the very aromatic rolly/pouch variants. But that's not what I tasted when I smoked. I find unflavoured, especially when mindlessly vaping whilst doing other things (like messing around in the shed) to be a very suitable substitute for the smokes I use to mindlessly consumed doing those same tasks. I'd suggest making up a small test batch and put it to the test. You never know! And, bonus points: it's cheap and ya coils/wicks last well too. Extra idea - add just the slightest hint of just a trace of menthol to that unflavoured mix. (I mean, go really, really, really light with it). That too, works well for me. Yeah, I know, somewhat unusual, especially around these parts (Hi Perpetua! *wave*) - but there are some of us around who do vape unflavoured at least periodically. I always have one tank of unflavoured in my regular daily rotation.

Considering how much feedback they get here's a list of stuff they've had plenty of time to put right. Labels that stay on the juice bottle. But, on the other hand, labels fixed to the bottle with some super goop that refuses to clean off no matter what products or methods you try. I say this as a person who re-uses bottles.

I cannot explain why - just that I've found kanthal coils, for me, do seem to age with use. Sounds more like the type of liquid you use! Jim Maybe. Donno. Just what I've seen over a coupla years using 8 or 9 different flavours (I concurrently run about 7 or 8 atties all the time) from three suppliers using two types of atties, all mixed with the same batch of nic, same supplier of PG, same supplier of VG.

All this talk of local B&Ms - Good ones, bad ones..... You guys don't know how lucky you are! Nearest one to me is about 2,600 km away. Google says it's around 28 hours driving time. Each way. Iffn I was able to front a B&M, I kinda think I'd hand over my credit card and backpack to the shopkeep and tell him just keep loading the second until the first breaks. ** Thank *Deity of Choice* for this magic interwebby thing!

The only thing i've found with dry burning and reusing coils is over time they will gunk up quicker than a new coil. Doesn't affect the performance they just need cleaning more often. ... ... Interesting Maybe it's because the surface gets pitted over time and loses the shine. .... Now that's something I've not come across. ... I certainly am no expert in coils and I have only ever used simple kanthal contact coils at somewhat humble wattages (always less than 20 watts), but I've certainly noticed that my coils do slowly "go off" over time. That's over a long time - like months - with numerous dryburns over their life. Finally, after a good while, I sorta get the feeling "that's not quite as qood as I remember". Wind a new coil, rewick and presto, back to how I remember. Somehow, it's sorta cleaner and fresher tasting. I cannot explain why - just that I've found kanthal coils, for me, do seem to age with use. Not that I find it to be any particular problem - kanthal's cheap and it really doesn't take that long to make a new simple coil (when I can work up the motivation to do so).
