Ok well looks like the CE6s are rubbish. I'm now looking at the Vivi Nova then, haven't had a tank before. www.vapeescape.co.uk/vision-vivi-nova-v2.5-long-wick~371It says it comes with heads with the 3 resistances, then 3 long wick heads. Does this mean you need one of each to set the thing up? Choose your resistance then replace the wick head as and when? Also, sorry if this has been asked before but where can I find out what different resistances do. Oh and I'm using normal 900/1100 batteries, aren't these no good with certain resistances?

Thanks very much everyone, I shall have a look. Could someone explain the difference between CE5s (what I think I'm using now) and CE6s?

Been using rainbow visions whatever you call them (the long wick ones) for a few months now and like them. My last batch were very cheap from some weird foreign website and the quality wasn't quite as good as the usual UK ones (had to chuck a couple immediately), but as I say they were very cheap! So, can someone point me in the direction of the cheapest decent ones now? Or recommend something else if something new has been released recently? I've noticed these... www.vapourtine.co.uk/accessories/ego-ce5-clearomiser.htmlBut they don't appear to have any visible wicks at all? Thank you kindly!

Right, I've noticed the last couple of days a significant loss of flavour - not sure if its because my nose is rather congested or if my clearo needs replacing? No loss of vapour, no plastic/burn flavour, just loss of taste...

Well I haven't been on here for a while, sorry about that, but thought I'd let you know how I'm getting on. The clearomisers are MUCH better than the cartos, no messing around with spongy stuff and a much better vape. I've been vaping a fair bit in pubs and clubs - I think half my coursemates came and tried it in a nightclub after our exams lol. Went to visit friends for a week and a couple of them who don't smoke insisted on 'borrowing' it each time I got it out lol. When I stayed with my fiancée she was using it occasionally instead of cigs, but she smokes so infrequently its not really worth her getting her own kit. Her mother, however, is a very heavy cigar smoker and didn't think it was at all bad, so maybe she'll be my first convert. I'm sure her doctor would appreciate it as well... Currently vaping a Pina Colada easy liquid, which I don't think I'll buy again but its ok. I'm just getting 10ml bottles of different flavours atm to see what I do and don't like...so many to choose from! My parents were rather alarmed by it when I showed them (kinda didn't know I smoked ) but don't seem to mind me doing it in my room, not that there's anything to notice though.

Possibly the reason for some cartos dying so soon is that they haven't all had equal use. I think I just used a couple and refilled them at first because I wanted to try out the new juice I bought.

I was about to buy some VH-star clearomizers, but spotted these which are cheaper and come with bits and pieces. What is the difference? Thanks

Probably somewhere between the two. The cartos were prefilled so its a little more than that. I've now chucked a couple away that have had it, the remainder seem ok for now. Might order some clearomisers and more juice now though. Should I just go for normal resistance?

Rev, from memory you bought a kit with pre-filled cartomisers. These often have different (shorter) condoms than the ones you'll have seen on youtube. Usually the condom method is only used for the first fill of a new carto, so you shouldn't need to do that. Try taking the tip off and dripping some juice into the wadding as Chrissie suggested... do it slowly until the wadding looks like a slushy. Avoid the centre tube. If this doesn't work, it's time to splash out on a packet of boges or a couple of stardusts. That's exactly what I have been doing. Hmmm..

Er well this is the lot that came with the thing originally so in terms of days quite a while. Ah ok, I'll try condomifying again then...

No I didn't, and I've been drip tipping as the condoms that came with it seemed shorter than ones I'd seen on youtube, so it didn't seem like the juice was really going in.

As I thought. Not sure if I'm burning them, trying not to!
