What differences are there between versions 1 and 2? Very tempted by this... As far as I rememeber it has a higher amp (3.2) output and atty ohms reader. Someone may be able to correct/confirm this  |

The original story was leaked back in September on a blog: velvetgloveironfist.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/tobacco-product-directive-leaked-to.html..and we have had the previous commissioner leaving his post under a cloud of corruption allegations..lots of machinations going on about this.. It is just an ongoing thing that we as vapers have are highly sensitive to and we wont really know whats going to happen till next year`s MHRA consulation. I have over a years supply of nic in the freezer too  |

Well this has led to some very enlightening info about batteries! It is the V2 and I did check a battery in it with the unit switched off - the battery still discharged, albeit at half the rate it did when the unit was switched on. Clearly a fully charged good quality battery shouldn't be discharging at even a quarter of a volt a day, so there is something wrong with the unit. I did wonder about giving it an Isopropyl bath as it may very well be gunge in the innards, but since it is a brand new unit I think I will just return it. I was surprised to discover from the PO website that I should be able to post it back to China for about £4, so that looks like the best plan. Good to hear you can get it sorted relatively cheaply Dave, £4 to China is nothing, I dont understand how it can be so cheap when it`ll have to go through Royalmail first..on a plane and then through mainland. ??? Which vendor did you get the unit from? |

Shame you dont like them Karma, I think theyre great juices. I`d offer to take them off your hands but Im swimming in ejuice atm I`ll bump the thread up a bit though. |

The RMS samples the output Voltage repeatedly while it is powering an atomizer or cartomizer and is more accurate. Vavg (wildhog mode) will vary the output, so if you dial in say 8 watts you may get 11 or 7. The v1 vamo only had wildhog (avg) mode. Set it to RMS and you`ll be fine (apparently) If you google the HD review of the vamo by Scott (igecha69) he says that he cannot tell the difference anyway. |
