There is no long-term studies/data on the effects of vaping. To be safe 100% from any potential problems from e-liquids- you should not vape them at all. Some people do use oil based flavours in their liquids and report no ill-effects but others report potential health concerns. You will have to make an informed decision for yourself what you consider to be safe to put into your body and what to avoid. Personally I would avoid oil based flavours which is a shame as I like citrus

Long answer : Lots of people raving about the price-point, build and performace of the vamo. Only you can decide if its right for you but remember to factor in you`ll need a decent charger and batterys to go with it. Short answer: Get one

OR (rather temptingly... .) is there a mod type battery I could consider instead of getting another Riva/eGo. ...how much is your budget? Good to see you got a definitive answer from Macca, our resident battery guru

Alot of shops have battery collection points in them or the recycling center/local tip. Wait a while though and see if you get any more advice someone may be able to repair it...or you could donate it for a battery post mortem

Depending on whether price is the major issue many vendors sell them from £20-£40.
If you want top backup & service you`ll pay more but you will have the reassurance that things will be sorted should they go wrong.
I think Jason @ve is the only vendor offering a good (3month) warranty.

Using an ultrasonic cleaner on a few cycles works ok too, but they`ll never be same as fresh ones. They are supposed to be disposable afterall.

Thats bad, I hope you have a backup device > If you purchased it outside Europe/UK you may have problems. Did you use a creditcard or paypal to purchase it? If they are rogue traders I dont see any issue about telling us where you got it.

It could be that it has not made contact with the charger (centre pin pushed down on battery) or needs a clean.
Try to gently lift the centre pin and clean the contact surfaces of the battery/charger with cotton buds.
Does the charger 'wink' green every 10 seconds or so when you are charging it?
