washburn2102 Got a Cubis and a Delta 2 (think you'll like the RBA though just using with the pre-built coil and cotton) and slightly soft, very smooth for mouth hits with a thick and creamy Shape of the Vape, good VP for the 1.14 Ohms and good flavour - if slightly 'muted' - which is fine for me and DIY M+P's Praze.
The Cubis is pretty - aesthetically pleasing - with the 'hidden' AF contol, and optional Pyrex DT. Filling (give or taking the almost invisible max fill mark) is easy, and with a long snouted bottle (or legendary Spiky Thing ) you don't have to fully remove the entire 'working parts) to do so.
Trying the 1.5 O Clapton Coil head - and a good M-L option - Joyetech reckon that many newbie vapers M-L so that's who they were initially aiming it at. An RBA head is in the final prototype phase too, so should be available very soon.
Looking good on the Cuboid - but so does the Delta 2 - all in Black
Nice review washburn2102 Off to see Joyetech tomorrow morning and hoping to get to have a play with one. Interested in the 'cup' and airflow at the top to remove leakage issues too. The Top Fill, Bottom AF has been the cause of most leakage in my experience thus far - so if that's sorted, ans it looks good to, depending on the cost and longevity of the coils (and preferably an RBA) they could be on to a winner with the Cubis
Day3 Staying at a 'proper hotel', rather than my dorm tonight, as i'm due to meet up with Kevin Chung from Joyetech US first thing in the morning - so no restrictions on vaping in me, increasingly foggy, room
Switched from the Reuleaux to the Target mod - easier and lighter to carry around - and it works very nicely. the coil is reading 0.37 on the Vaporesso compared to 0.39 on the Realeaux - which i'm more inclined to believe - so W's will adjust accordingly.
The DT is indeed a wide bore at the lips - but also, as it's an integral part of the 'Twist Lock' Topfill system - wider than usual at the base too by a few mm's - my KST DT easily fits inside and rattles around too. So no chance of fitting it to use on another device - even the Focalecig Genelocity DT is smaller
Was going to post pics - but phone, vpn and photobucket are squabbling at the mo
yep - ordered a couple of packs of Kanthal .9's from FT before buying the kit (thinking of the FT2 and rather hoping i'd source one ) - and they're at me Ma's in Ireland, awaiting postage back to China
Aloha Pepperty If thee want to pass on me Wechat ID to your friend - tis DigicigScott Just in case she's bored when the alleged 74% of ShenZhen go back to their home towns next week
I popped me Kanthal cCell head into me FuryTank 2 today - as mentioned in the FT2 thread at the same 20W's i had been using it at - and definitely seems better Vapour Production and a smidgeon better for flavour too. It could be the increased AF from the Target tank - 2cyclops to the FT2's 4 - the wider bore DT - the base is bigger than a normal DT too.
The Shape of the Vape also seems a bit denser than the Clapton coil head that comes with the FT2 - but will be swapping them back dreckly. Just wanted to see how the cCell's performed in a 'better' designed tank - the Target tank is pretty basic but works OK.
Had a better play today - the Clapton Coil can handle up to around 100W's before i noticed a very slight burny taste. Being a mainly Mouth inhaler i prefer it at around 40W's with the AF open about a third of the way.
As one of the reasons i wanted to try the cCells was to try them in the FT2, i had to give it a go. Now the cCell is from the Target kit i bought here, and have been using for a couple of weeks - still good flavour and OK VP using the supplied Target tank.
Switched it into the FT2 and - the cCell's performance really goes up a notch
I've been mainly using the cCell at around 20W's on the Target mod, so dropped the FT2 + cCell on it at the same settings - and increased VP and i'd say improved flavour too. Some of this could be down to increased AF the Target tank having 2 cyclops compared to the FT2's 4, and the increased bore of the FT2's DT - which i'm really liking.
The FT2 is more than compatible with the cCells (now recategorised as 'safe' by Grimm Green and Vaporshark) - it actually seems to enhance them too
Oh calnorth My Note 3 - i know that it's OK for forum pics and mainly went to the Mall to buy a new 'man bag' so i'd have something to carry the Canon in LoL
I only show my 'gear' to a selectively chosen, few consenting adults, (and Bill Gate's 'gear' is apparently smaller ) but i'll happily vape in the open
As i said, Vape Master is aiming at the 'High Status' - "Look how wealthy i am, i can afford to Vape" kind of market - you do see quite a few Hookah's in clubs so there are also some folk who have tried and enjoyed that and are looking for a nicotine free flavoursome vapour to inhale without needing to buy their own hookah pipe. The young guy, loves vaping and blowing clouds, but only nicotine free, for example. And there are one or 2 people, like the girl in the picture, who saw vaping as her best bet to stop smoking and ended up working for the company.
Had an interesting visit to Anyvape today - Bill Tan is a very Enthusiastic guy, with some great ideas, who luckily speaks very good English.
I'd been trying to contact him for over a week, and eventually managed to get hold of him on the phone, and arrange today's 'interview'. I wasn't invited to tour the factory itself, as he said, he's been a trusted Aspire reseller for years and still isn't shown around - fair play.
As my timing was particularly fortuitous, Bill happened to have a couple of the new FuryTank 2's 'lying around' which he then gave to me to try I was hoping i'd be able to buy one once there, so a very happy vaper
I received the original FT as part of Anyvape's FB give-away - which i posted here and on YT - the original head (with the 'scissor head' design) lasted me just over 6 weeks - strangely until the day after posting about how good it still was
The FuryTank 2 so far seems to do what it claims on the box:
I opened the Black FT2 - as i thought it would look good on the Reuleaux RX200 - which it does
Any Gappage on the pics between the Reuleaux and the FT2 are purely down to me trying to get the logo lined up for effect - the FT2 screws down flat
The Drip Tip is part of the 'Unique Twist Lock' top fill system - which means you can't use your favourite DT - so just as well i actually like this one then. Nice wide bore, nice and smooth curves and black anodised metal (possibly SS?). Didn't bring a measuring device, but if the manufacturer says 5ml - it rarely is - so possibly 4-5ml usable capacity. Very easy to fill - as it says on the box - to be on the safe side, close the AF, easy twist the DT and pull, and squeeze the juice in one of the 2 side slits; fill and twist the DT back on, open AF and vape I did do a test with the AF fully open and didn't notice a drop.
The AF is 4 slits, and, at least to begin with, is slightly stiff - not too bad as it means that it will stay where you set it, and if it does loosen up with use, then it shouldn't spin too freely. The AF is quite light fully open, so good for Lung hits and yet still OK for Mouth hits when closed down to below a third.
The Installed Clapton coil head - just Rocks! I haven't really begun to put it through its paces - reads 0.36Ohms on the Reuleaux and i had to stop at 70W's because of extreme nic hit (on 4mg juice) and some very 'miffed' Chinese soldiers, who weren't impressed by the sudden wall of fog being exhaled in their general direction. I'm currently staying at a mainly Chinese dormitory style hostel. It's cheap, actually quite nice, but the Owner, doesn't speak English, and although a smoker, doesn't seem to trust a device that can cloud up a room so swiftly as being 'safer than smoking' So experimentation since i've been 'home' has been limited to quick press, hold and try not to exhale! LoL
So far, gotta say i'm impressed - with the tank, the Top fill system, flavour and VP - will have a proper play over the next few days, before doing a proper write up and/or possible video
As i posted in me Vaping in China thread i stumbled across a B&M style retail Vape shop yesterday - so went back today to get some pics and have an ickle chat. You never know, someone may find themselves in ShenZhen and in dire need of kit fast (Foclecig is awesome, but it's not a cheap taxi to get there ).
Vape Master have a unit in the Coco Park shopping mall - level B1- the same as the supermarket, and opposite Mango. It is on the site map, but the 'helpers', who don't speak English really had no idea.
Photos to go here
They're not that cheap - US juice available at around 240rmb (huge import tax on anything non-Chinese branded - it might be made here but if it's not a Chinese company you'll pay a lot extra!), But Chinese juice is acceptable at 2x15ml for 79rmb. They sell rebranded Wotofo devices (looking similar to eGo One type) for a premium price - but they do work well, and the rent will be premium too!
Nice enough folk, who gave me the cotton i was desperately looking for for my Aqua FX (left it in a different province) for free, as they didn't sell it separately, yesterday.
