Sandra that is a great image of you sitting in the back of an ambulance love it. Mary, I have to admit as it was the first stranger who has taken an interest I may have babbled on a bit too much me self. Raffles..... er.... what did I come in here for? ah yes Chrissie, I miss Plymouth well more the people and the area, the moors and Cornwall's beaches, I lived down there for about six years. I haven't been brave enough to vape on a train yet I'll get there bit by bit.

Not really expecting it while I was having an ecg in the cardiology dept. but the nurse asked me how I stopped smoking then started making notes. It felt good to pass some good news on about giving up and suggest products to look into etc. I was a little surprised that she new relatively little about this great thing. What's the oddest place you've been asked about e-cigs?

Hmmm my brother doesn't like grated cheese but he still likes cheese (he's forty!) I agree certain people like different things yes, but, I still think there are people peddling crap and hiding behind this because it is 'vaguely plausible'. There are hundreds of flavours out there it's, ridiculous, incredulous. I have asked suppliers for help in making informed choice but I have been met with non-committal responses which were of no use, it's so frustrating when you start out.

This is something that's really getting on my bits if taste is so subjective then why do we all like these, lindorlindttruffles.wordpress.com/ I mean you wouldn't go to your favourite restaurant, order a meal and have the waiter (or waitress) turn round and say well you might like it but you know, 'taste is subjective'. What's with this? it's rubbish, as far as I can make out it's a license to produce mediocre product's in the vein hope that someone will like it which is inevitable. Companies seem more than happy for us to spend lots of money searching for flavours that are acceptable. I have approximately 40 bottles of flavouring and only use two. Rant ranty rant rant rant rant. Ahem.... OK so a non-fruity, non-floral, non-chemically nice nutty flavouring. I don't get too technical or precise, make up 15ml of your base, for me 70%PG to 30%VG at 24mg nic. Add 1 drop per ml of DV tobacco (naturally this doesn't taste of tobacco but has dry nutty undertones). I leave this for a few days so everything can get to know one another. Then using a glass eye dropper bottle (available at most chemists the kind you see the American's use on the youtubey) add five drops of Uncle Roy's Natural Walnut Essence. Leave for a further couple of days then consume. edit: add three drops of Uncle Roys Natural Walnut Essence... what was I thinking...

There's some inspiring responses here. I love the stories we all have and the different attitudes towards nicotine. I suppose really it's the stories which are inspiring and have the knock on effect of in some way being supportive. I can't believe how easy it's been so far, when I think of all the struggling failed attempts I've made previously this has been a breeze, so what's the catch? ha there's gotta be one somewhere just started making my first mod so maybe that will be my catch, hours of fiddling!!!

Tom that's impressive and jayjay down to 12mg in 3 months a hearty congrats to you. I'm only down to 24mg at the moment. I guess the reason I asked is because I also love the vaping thing and am now finding it difficult to see a time when I'm nicotine free, although that was my original intention. Maybe I'm being a bit self critical, I've quit smoking and gone from 36mg to 24mg in six weeks. If it takes a year to get to get nic-free that would be no bad thing.

How many people have quit smoking using e-cigs and then quit vaping leaving themselves non-nicotine-dependant. This I presume is a difficult question to find the answer to as most people that have quit vaping, I would assume, no longer frequent these rooms? I'm six weeks analogue free..... get in

I have to say vaping has brought back the enjoyment of smoking!!! sitting in doors with a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a long vape I don't miss the frantic search for the lighter and then the sudden flash of anger when the flint flies across the room...
