How long did you leave it in the boiling water on the stove/cooker hob?

Will give it a go. I've seen the pictures. Tried a 3mm wick with an extra piece for the coil and it worked well. The same with the 3.5mm was a bit too much though.

Nice one. I'm pretty happy with the 3.5mm on the pene. It's worth a try though. I like messing about with things. Plus, I picked up a Spheroid V2 today and have put some 3mm wick in there. It works well, but people have recommended using 2mm.

I went on a bit of a wick buying frenzy the other night (don't ask it all started with a spiky thing ) I can pop you some in the post, you're gonna need wire too unless you have some, I can send you a little of that too, enough for you to decide whether rewicking them is for you, or whether you just prefer ready made replacement heads. PM your address if you like and I can pop it in the post tomorrow May I ask where you purchased the wick from? I was thinking about messing with some wick variations as I only have 3mm and 3.5mm wick at the moment. Thanks.

Coolio. I like haggling. If you (seller) don't then the haggling ends......or doesn't even start depending on how you look at it I've seen a couple of offers in a couple of threads before. Some have been taken up. You can always try it?

Benny thanks for the bullet points, really helpful, will wait and see what the finished product is like but I prefer the clear windows as an optional add on rather than the default. I like the fact that I can put any juice in Penelope without having to do a check to see what will crack tanks. I also think the SS and wings on the tank look smarter. I should shut up really because I will most likely be buying one anyway So, I asked Imeo: "Imeo, will there be a stainless steel cover too with the GG logo - like the Penelope?" He replied "I will make steel window as a replacement but the logo will be on the first metal piece of the body Benny" So there you have it. Clear window or not, you'll have the logo to admire, and the option of all steel.

Someone gave me a tip for freshening up a ceramic -
Ceramic is the most taste absorbent part, but its the easiest thing to sort out: get a pair of tweezers and hold it in a very hot flame(cooks torch, gas hob) until it turns red, and dip it in water. Repeat the process till its totally white, and looks brand new.
But from what Blakey says, I'd only try that once you have your spares lol. BTW, I've not tried it.

Ok. If you are going to post an item on 2 different forums though, you should keep up with what is going on and deal with the people who post first on each one. I know it's too late now, but if I had got a reply from you saying that you wasn't selling for less then chances are I would have taken it. One of my sayings I live by is "If you don't ask, you don't get" so yeah.

You can just tip it upside down and unscrew it to adjust the draw. Or you can change juice this way with a syringe to take out the old juice. That's what I do.
