Been reading up abut these types of lathes and the "Pulsing" and this is what I found.
The speed control system forms a closed loop feedback system and as the motor speed falls under load the control system senses this and ups the voltage. hence current/power, to the motor in order to restore the speed.

Has he mentioned it pulses because it does sound like a transcoding and frame rate issue on the uploaded vid.

That the same one Mr Dibley bought ? I was watching him use his new lathe. I was surprised to see the pulsing on the motor, maybe that's what all the electronically controlled ones do now. Just looked really odd to me and I can't work out how it doesn't muck up a cut. When you say watching him do you mean on an uploaded video ? could be the transcoding if so. |

are you using XP ?
when you right click select properties, run as admin should be in there. Can't remember exactly what the options are as it's been sometime since using XP.
