I am not sure if I am cross wires here but are you looking for the battery to atty connector or something to fit it in if its to fit it in try using a coin drilled out to fit the connector then cut/file/grind to fit to the mod and seal it with some hot glue TBH mate I'm not entirely sure what it is, but all I can see is a circular disc of plastic with a brass pin which connects to the positive end of the battery. Above that, which is hidden, is presumably the wiring from the pin to the horn button and the atty connection. I think Warlord has sussed what I'm talking about, so it's a case of finding some plastic and getting it cut once I've established that the tube can be made cheaply enough. Cheers for your help, as I realise I've not been as clear as I wanted to be.

That's pretty much spot on to be honest its a piece of plastic with a brass pin through it a piece of plastic cut to the right size will be fine in there as to the brass - you can get brass battery screws on ebay that you can solder to for the positive post - As to the plastic see if you can find out the thickness order a small sheet and cut to size Cheers I've been looking around on the web to see if I can find any disassembled pics to give me an idea of what to look for, but no luck so far. I don't want to pull it apart myself as I don't have a soldering iron to be able to put it back together when I break it, and there is no doubt I will, so I'll get my sparky to do it and then he can replace anything that breaks. It might all be pie in the sky as it would be dependent on my dad doing me a tube and he may well tell me that it'll cost him a fortune for him to set one of his machines up to do just one (or ideally, several) of these. Thanks for the advice, I'll go and do a bit more poking around and begging. Try dropping Garry Dibley a pm. He might have just what you want in his junk boxes. Or at least he might have the info on what you need. EDITED to add......... I see you`re from Poole. Theres a guy, Tim, in southbourne who sells organic juices. His face book page www.facebook.com/groups/407709949242537/Its a closed group, but apply to join and you`ll be in pretty soon and wer`e having our 2nd vapemeet in December in the cranleigh. EDITED again..... sheesh! Theres a couple of modders who will be at the meet too I don't do Facebook, but thanks for the pointer. I might well be up for that meet, so if you could let me know the date and time at some stage it would be appreciated, as I'd like to meet some experienced vapers.

Great offer Warlord, thanks very much.
I'm not sure it's a PCB I actually want, as it just looks from the underneath like a plastic bung with a brass pin through the middle that separates the wiring from the battery.
If I knew what I was talking about it'd be easier to describe...

Congrats on your first coil build Moon It used to fill me with dread, but now I look forward to building my coils and tinkering and experimenting. I've recently discovered Kathal wire and love it, but if I told any of my friends how excited I am about my new wire they might take me to hospital Thanks ellen. Now I've got the first one out of the way, I've a lot more confidence. I've had a couple of practice goes previously, but had no means to measure resistance so didn't want to connect them just in case. Look out for the "Man Blows Himself Up With Ecig" headlines in the papers in the coming weeks.

That's what I thought. I'm using it now and am inordinately pleased with what amounts to managing to wrap a bit of wire around some string. How sad is that? Sad? I spend hours experimenting with that very thing lol I don't know what to say to that.

Madvapes in the US stock a lot of parts Moon . . . if you can find what you're looking for on there, then you might be able to find a UK stockist of similar? www.madvapes.com/Ta, I'll have a look.

Update (as if anyone's interested) Now vaping with my larger Vivi Nova tank with stock head and it's getting hot. Apologies for my nobdom, I think I was just worried about blowing my face off. Lol . . . better to be safe than sorry Moon. That's what I thought. I'm using it now and am inordinately pleased with what amounts to managing to wrap a bit of wire around some string. The metal tanks on any of these rebuildables do get hot Moon, just like an atomiser would, with the heat that's being generated inside to fire up the coil/evaporate the juice. Personally, I don't think you have done anything wrong. More reassurance. Good work folks, keep it coming. I'll try a metal tank with a stock 1.8 head tomorrow and see if I get the same sort of heat. If I haven't done anything wrong, I'll revert to being pleased with myself again. Small things... You have a coil inside that heats up to a high temperature, as you vape things will start to get warm Whilst that's reassuring, I haven't noticed it happening with the stock coils I've been using, although I haven't used my metal mini tank for a week or two so possibly I'm looking for problems that don't exist.

Sorry to start what is almost certainly the umpteenth thread on this, but tonight I've done my first real coils and wick, having got my multimeter this week.
Four coils of Kanthal A, legs doubled over and twisted together, ohms tested before I attached it to my lavatube were 1.8.
I attached it to the lavatube at 3.2 v and put some juice on the coil, fired it up and got vapour without anything blowing up, so put the tank on and filled it up feeling mightily pleased with myself.
Vaped for about a minute and noticed that the metal tank was getting hot.
What have I done wrong?

To be fair Moon, with the right tools, and a little know how, anyone could do it. There are plenty of people here who are willing to help (as I've found), and the parts are cheap as anything. The highlighted bit is the stumbling block.

Moon there's several people on here that make their own mods, so I'm sure someone will be along to help That's what I'm hoping. All I'm looking to do is replicate my Bolt and hopefully coerce my dad into making me the case by drilling out some metal bar, preferably in SS, as it looks to me who knows pretty much nothing to be quite a simple mod to make (by other people who have a vague idea what they're doing). I don't even know what to search for in Google to find those plastic bits though.
