Colliwobbles, I'll deal with you later It's so long since I had a cold, I didn't realise the best cure was mixing cocktails!! Thanks for all the recipes. If anyone wants to know what I look like, I'm the woman with the red nose, covered in manuka honey and smelling like a small distillery, with a hint of lemsip. Did I mention the bit about being a miserable git?

If I was being a man, it would be a life-threatening illness....

Well, I said this before, and lo, it has come to pass... As a smoker, I obviously didn't have a lot going for me in the health department, but one thing that seemed to happen was that I rarely got a cold. I haven't had one for a good couple of years. Until today. Headachey, sniffly, shivery and generally on the verge of a cold. You have all been warned. I HATE colds. I know it's hardly anything as far as illnesses go, and I shouldn't complain, but a cold is (in my book, anyway) one of the worst things going because you know there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, make it go away or get rid of it any faster. So I'm going to be a miserable git for the next week, at least. Just so you know.

One thing I sometimes do, if I'm by myself, is look in the supermarket for the bags of veg for soups and stews. There's usually one or two onions, a couple or three carrots, a swede or turnip and a parsnip.
However, buying loose veg is no problem and you only ever need to buy as much as you will eat in one sitting. Even if I'm cooking for the whole family, if I'm going to need just one courgette or whatever, then I only BUY one.
As far as blueberries are concerned, buy frozen. They're usually tons cheaper, and none of the goodness or vitamins are lost by freezing them. No waste, and you just take out what you need each day.

So that's what the southern Gent's are wearing now, bunch of poofters On the plus side, it's cold enough down south at the moment that the meat and two veg is no more visible than a chipolata and a couple of peas....

I have no objection to people stacking the shelves whilst I shop, and my youngest was incredibly grateful to have a holiday job last Christmas, stacking shelves overnight in one of our local Sainsburys. Where we live, it's perfectly logical for some of the supermarkets to be open 24 hours, as many, many people are working shifts at Heathrow airport, so they appreciate being able to shop at different times. What I find difficult is having to negotiate all the other people who are trying to fill shelves, empty shelves and generally use the aisles of Tesco's as a meeting place when I'm trying to do my shopping. In an ideal world I would be able to have the entire place closed whilst I did the weekly shop, but as I'm not a member of the Royal Family, Parliament or any other elite group, it's not going to happen. And if I ever get face to face with the clown who keeps thinking it's a great idea to get Peter-sodding-Andre to come to our local Tesco to sign his latest book/DVD just at the exact time I've rolled up to do my shop, then I'll let you know whether or not they allow vaping gear in Holloway. It's no fun having to weave in and out of a queue of orange women-of-a-certain-age in low cut tops, impossible stilletos and leggings, hoping to be wife number however-many.... Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand breathe.

One of the worst things i find is that in Asda when they are stocking the shelves they insist on placing the trolly in the middle of the isle, instead of to one side which would leave plenty of room to get past. Don't get me started, or I'll be having a full-blown attack of trolley rage. These days, it seems to be getting increasingly hard to get around my local Tesco, because the aisles are full of people with those massive trolleys, picking and packing for home deliveries. If it's not them, then it's the big cages because they're stacking the shelves, and if it's neither of those two then it's half a dozen very elderly people who've all met up for the first time in 20 years in the yogurt aisle, and have to catch up on all the family news... I must start going at 3 in the morning again. It's nice and quiet then, and it's a good use of my insomnia..

I wish that the answer were as simple as tilting the clearo or getting a sudden nicotine hit, but as I am a habitual "tilter" and I'm vaping zero nic, I'm afraid it doesn't seem to be either of the above. I don't take particularly long draws. In fact, sometimes when I am watching video demos of different kit, I marvel at the length of draws other people take. If I even tried to do that, I'd turn purple and explode! This is a little bit like what happens when you are having computer or car problems and you've done all the obvious stuff but when you phone the helpline they ask you to check that you have petrol or whether your laptop is plugged in.

kickit I know exactly what you mean, I get it all the time! I am enjoying a perfectly lovely vape and then the next time I take a puff it goes horrible tasting and yukky like an old ashtray taste almost.......ok not quite that bad but that ilk of yuk! Phew, thanks han78..I'm not losing the plot, then. I wash and clean out all my clearos and dry burn them on a regular basis, but usually I get the dry burn thing either (like you) when I've got plenty of juice in the clearo, or (worse still) when I'm out and about and can't just swap for another clearo or flavour.

Mary, no need to apologise..I was referring to the thread in general, not your post in particular.
So evidently you get a get a dry burn from a container (whatever type) that isn't even close to empty, and seconds after getting a normal draw. And from a battery that hasn't been adjusted since the draw you took a minute or so earlier. At least, that's what I'm reading into the comments that have been made. Fine, just as long as I know.
