trollminer - yes, freeze the Nic Base. It will just go very thick and gloopy, like vodka does. I would wholeheartedly suggest that you look through our recipe section in the Mixology board first and choose a couple of recipes to try, then go shopping for those specific concentrates. This way, you can buy what you need; otherwise you will end up with a load of flavours which may not combine easily, costing you money for no return. Once you have made a couple of good tasty juices, you will start getting a better idea of what goes with what, and at what percentage. I use predominantly TFA and Capella, and you will also get a good result from some of the one-shot concentrates from Pink Spot or Chef's own blends too. These will not take as long to mature (custards need 4 weeks minimum), and you will be vaping them within 24 hours, although they will improve if you leave them for a couple of days more. I would recommend the "mix calc" at the top of this (and every) page - if you register with the site, you can then save all your recipes, privately if preferred, so that they are always there if you want to replicate them. Carefully add all the ingredients and strengths, and if you want, take a screenshot and post here for confirmation before you get stuck in!

I am always 2 scats behind the rest of the human vaping race, but at least that enables me to read up and hear on the forum about the new kit, people's trials and tribulations with it, and if it's worth chucking my hard-earned at. I've only just got my first TFV4, and although I like it, I don't think I've fallen in love with it yet. I've only used one juice in it so far, so maybe it needs more time and a selection of juices before I can make an informed decision. As Perpetua says, the new kit keeps vaping fresh for me too; although I have a good selection of tanks, I am always aware of what is going to happen in 6 months time, and am buying up stuff in preparation for that time, although I know I will probably still be able to get kit from China once the grace period has come to an end.

Nice. I've never gotten on with a Clapton. Always been taking too long to ramp up. I guess the SW would fix that to some extent by firing 150w or so over it, lol. But yeah, I fully agree, a nice build in a good dripper can't be beat. I've just been too lazy recently, that's my bad. Maybe in the new year I'll clean a couple out and get on it again (I'm off on Hogmany to work offshore where I'm not going to be able to vape, so back on the stinkies ). I've never used Claptons, but I know they stock the UD wire so it must be worth a punt - or else there will be 15' minus about 6" in the classies quite soon! I don't know how you can dual fuel so successfully xs2man - I know it's the regulations, but I would rather not intake nicotine at all than go back on the stinkies like you have to!

I'm following this thread with interest, as both these atomisers are in my sights. I'm off to Betty's Vape Shop in Camborne tomorrow, and I have cash in my wallet (strange after Christmas, I know!), and depending on what they have in stock, one of these bewties may end up in my grubby mitts - I'll let you know the results later on tomorrow!

I have a couple of the GTII bases from FT, and with the improved airflow they turn a MTL tank into a direct inhale beast - I have some Clear Storm juice in one and the taste and performance is really passably good for an older design

Funny, I'm sat here with exactly the same mix of Red Astaire, in my Velocity dripper which I don't use often (just too lazy to drip!), on my Koopor Plus reading .38ohm on the resistance at 47w, and it's bleddy awesome, loads of flavour and tons of vapour; just as well the OH is in bed otherwise I would get a tongue-lashing about the haze in the dining room! When I do get a dripper working really well, and I have the time to dedicate to dripping, it's just so much more satisfying. Can't wait for my Buddha to get here from China, and visit the bad boys at Betty's Vape Shop in Camborne for some tuition in using Clapton wire, and my village will disappear in a cloud of fragrant steam

I agree catface26 - my vaping history is a bit older historically, but the same holds true; every purchase has been an upgrade. Ego Clearomiser and 650mah batteries. Spinner and Mini and Viva Novas Spinner (then Vamos) with Protanks Vamo with Kayfun Mech mods with Kayfuns and Taifuns First box mod iStick 20w - with above and Mini Nautilus Then Orchids, Goblins and MVP3s Which gets us up to date - see signature!!

stressederic - no, no sticking button, but I did have problems with it mis-reading Subtank coils, although this seems to have settled down after the last software update. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed with it to start with, but after a few months, it hasn't missed a beat and is now a stalwart amongst my collection. For looks however, my Koopor Plus takes the prize - SS body, sleek lines and feels really nice in my hand. For portability, I have a Sigelei 75w which is small to slip into a pocket, and with a good battery at 25w will last the majority of a day out and about. All in all, I'm happy with my mods now, just need to sort out my tank collection to go on top!

I have some Strawberry Yoghurt in it at the moment, and a couple of hours of occasional vaping in front of the TV and it needs filling again!! Nice flavour at around 60w on my X Cube 2 though!

I think that this thread just goes to prove that there are many different ways to get our satisfaction from vaping. Many of us are quite happy and content using 'outdated' technology, and I mean that in the literal way; there are newer, more effective ways of vaping, according to some, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Others (and I count myself in this to a limited extent) like to experiment with coils, wicking, and using more powerful mods to get something different from their vape.
However, at the end of the day, we are all thankfully ex-smokers, and we all not only enjoy our vaping journeys but also discussing and helping each other. What's not to like with that!?

I am in a quandary at the moment with tanks stressederic - I have recently acquired a TFV4 and am getting used to it so can't really comment. I have to admit that I love my Subtanks, all with the RBA base in, but would like another dual coil tank with a good capacity as I'm out and about all day and don't want the faff of refilling in the van. I have a Billow which I live (currently has some Pink Lemonade from Cornish Liquids in) and would be easily tempted to buy another, but hear good things about the Aromamiser 6ml, so want to try that when I have enough pennnies. I am a DLI vaper, loving my 3mg juices (which I mix myself), and want something which will blow the clouds out of the van window as I drive around the country lanes. Subtanks for home as they are a little less, erm, productive as my wife and daughter will start complaining about not being able to see around the house!

stressederic - hi and a warm welcome from me too! Heisenberg is one of those juices that I either love for a couple of days, or hate the thought of, let alone the aroma. I have about 60ml gently maturing in my juice box, and every now and again I get it out and enjoy it for 24 hours, then away it goes again!

While I'm waiting, I have popped in two x 8-wrap 3mm coils with .5mm Kanthal, and running them in at 45w I must say that my Clear Storm (5% mix) has taken on a completely new dimension! With 24 views so far, this must have tempted someone to give me their thoughts!!

Ooo-er, with all this technical talk, I think I had better keep quiet about my new Sennheiser in-ear noise-cancelling earbuds then! With my rather, erm, eclectic tastes is music (Jazz, Brazilian Pagode, or funk!), I daren't pump my music around the house or I'll get the divorce papers delivered PDQ! However, laying in bed at night (separate bedrooms, before you ask!), with my buds in, I'm in 7th Heaven
