Hi all, I have my X Cube with a pair of fresh batteries, a cleaned out and empty Velocity clone, and my mixing box of various gauges of Kanthal and Nickel.
What would you build for a good flavour, and some clouds? I don't want to get into Claptons or seriously twisty stuff, although I have twisted Kanthal before and would be happy to try it with the Nickel.
Your thoughts would be appreciated, along with details of gauge of wire, ID of coil and number of wraps. I haven't tried TC but would be tempted to give it a go!
SO hit me with your ideas on a good build!!

I'm afraid it's all down to money, yet again. It costs so much to make anything on TV these days, that production companies find it just as cost-effective to make quiz shows; cheap set, cheap music, cheap 'stars', and almost no script to write. If we want decent new TV series, we have to either pay much more on our BBC licence fee or tolerate many more adverts on the commercial channels - and neither of these would go down well with the great British viewing public

For bomb-proof, the Sigelei; feels nice and solid, and I would also replace because of it's reassuring heft.

And there was me thinking that I had pushed the boat out with a Buddha winging its way from Fasttech - that is simply enormous! Loads of choices there though!

Size-wise sleedale you could do a lot worse than the Sigelei 75w - removable battery, and a good solid mod with SS threads in the 510 and an all-round good feel to it. I use mine daily when driving, and it hasn't missed a beat in nearly 6 months!

Someone had a near miss with some thin cellophane wrapping over their batteries a few days ago - have you checked yours, ringading!?

Jim jevans - to be honest with you, I haven't yet had the time to experiment with Nickel wire, but I hope to have some spare time over the holidays, so will post here with my findings. I'm not surprised to hear yours though!

Long live our ability to have Freedom of Choice! Here, here, lobeydosser!! There is so much choice now, at least for the next few months!, and we can all be satisfied in different ways. Personally speaking, I have recently purhased two 2 x 18650 mods so that I can vape at higher wattages without needing to worry about changing batteries. If you are happy with your set-up, there is no need to change. Every new style of vaping comes with its own compromises, and although I would urge you to try a sub-ohm tank when you get the chance (even just so that you can discount it in future!), if you are happy, vape on my friend! P.S. my OH and I are going to sit down and go through some seed catalogues in the near future to start planning our sowing timetable for the spring. I know you are ahead of the game and have some things already started, but we decided that we would start in the New Year

Thanks for the link Ron - as usual, Clive Bates comes up with some compelling arguments, both for and against, and shows his reasoned thinking and analysis. Some food for thought here, certainly.

I do think we are being a bit too premature here folks. We don't definitively know anything about what will and won't be available yet, and for that reason there's absolutely no point in panic buying until we do know for certain. Whilst it has been stated that no juice will be available in bottles larger than 10ml, it seems to be that companies are going down the route of tamperproof cartridges rather than bottles. The only information that has been published are guidelines, not the actual policy; this hasn't even been finalised, so until it is we are fumbling in the dark and making up our own information. I suggest that we don't hold our breath, just sit back and wait for some definitive proclamation from the Government, at which point we will know exactly where we stand, and can budget accordingly. Hope that this doesn't ruffle too many feathers!

I can't help but agree with both Bobsbeer and GeoffUK here; we are a small but vociferous percentage of the total number of vapers in the UK, and I also think that where there's a will there's a way. I have booked 1.5 litres of nic base from Arron's Group Buy, and I'm quietly confident that I will be able to get my hands on any other items required with a minimum of fuss. It is the new vapers , those who haven't yet commited themselves to give up tobacco smoking, who I feel most sorry for. It is this cohort who will not get the immediate benefits of the vaping scene as we experience today, and let's just hope in time the powers that be will see sense - oh, look, another flying pig!!

That's a great way to make up your own catface26. I use the same method, and if things aren't strong enough in the menthol department, I'll pop a few more crystals into my final mix, and give it a good shake - works well enough for me!
