I'll take some more photos in a few minutes striker42, of both the mod and the atty. Quite enjoying the experience so far, although the flavour is a bit muted. I think this is down to the wrong coil as much as anything else.

That looks a real nice set up there chykensa . Be muchly appreciated if you could share you're thoughts on the Pulse atty. I've got the 22mm version which I 've been using this week. Just wondering if the 24mm version is good with a single coil or if it really needs a dual coil in there to get the best from it. Either way, hope you are enjoying the squonk factor.
Edit: Off to see who has this in stock at a reasonable price. striker42 - Cornish Liquids have the Pulse 24 for around £25 - at least, I think that's what I paid yesterday! Would have really liked it in black but they were OOS. I think I need more oomph from my coil so hoping my new wire will arrive tomorrow - might have a play with some Kanthal and dual coil it this evening.

Well, here it is. I have waited until my wife has gone out so as not to arouse her suspicions, charged up the battery, built a 6 wrap SS coil, installed and wicked. Filled up the bottle with some Blackcurrant Tunes mixture, and off we go - SO EASY!!!

to the squonking fraternity chykensa. I like the idea of 'accidentally' walking into a vape shop (always looking for new excuses to justify buying vape gear)! I actually had to drive up a narrow lane for almost half a mile to get there too! Calculated to make accidents quite difficult actually

Thanks striker42 and decoy - I'll try the 5 wraps of SS316 on my usual 3mm ID first! I will get hold of some .5mm Ni80 for future experimentation. Out of interest, and to educate me a little more, why shouldn't I use Ni200 on a mech mod?

I've had better results using Ni80 wire for squonking chykensa . For me the ramp up time is quicker. On the bottle situation, I'd consider changing that for a Mod Maker bottle if possible. They are more forgiving to the touch for removal and filling. Edit: Welcome to the darkside Thanks striker42! What wire and coil size do you use? I've just looked through my meagre supplies of wire and found the following:- Kanthal 22AWG .6mm Ni200 28AWG .32mm SS316 - .45mm Do I need to treat myself to some new wire? Thanks for the welcome BTW!

I use the normal pulse, single coil version and I'm banned from being any where near anything The only thing I have found with the pulse rda's is the need to change the wick a lot Lee - can I ask, what wire/ID/AWG do you use please? And what is your final resistance?

Now, how did that happen? I accidentally walked into my local vape shop, Cornish Liquids in Penryn, and 15 minutes later walked out with a Pulse mod, Pulse 24 RDA, and a new 20700 battery Before I start building this, I have a few questions, which I hope will be of use for anyone like me who is starting, or contemplating, a career in squonking. Firstly, with regard to the Pulse 24 RDA, which has a nice clutter-free flat build deck. Could I get away with a single coil, fabricated from 06mm 22AWG Kanthal, or does it really need to be dual coiled? Further to this, what resistance should I aim for to be inside the parameters for the battery and mod? Next question - is it viable to remove the 9ml squonk bottle to refill it, or is it worth getting something like the Boxer refill bottle which simply screws into the 510? Next - as the squonk bottle is really flexible, how do I prevent it squonking all over my hand or the mod when i re-insert it after filling? Any hints or tips I could follow to ensure the juice stays in the bottle, rather than elsewhere? Lastly, with average build and vaping, how long will a 20700 battery last compared to a fresh 18650? Many thanks in advance for what I know will be some educated and considered information and opinions. Andy B

doctorjellybean - don't bother using separate needles for different ingredients, just work with a bowl of hot water nearby, suck up a syringe-full of hot water, and enjoy squirting it around the sink! Do this a few times and everything will self-clean. I know it's not the clean-room solution, but the traces will not affect the final mix one bit! The green needles (14 gauge) are ideal for everything apart from cold VG. I always forget to get my VG out of the fridge for an hour before mixing, placing it in the sun or on a radiator, so end up having to use a measuring beaker instead - no biggie. Here are the needles on FT - www.fasttech.com/products/0/10023869/5171505-14g-38mm-plastic-pinhead-dispensing-refilling - 76p for 10! I've just read about 25 pages of this thread, and it has rekindled my interest in this squonking malarkey once again. After a quick look around Fasttech, how does this sit as a first foray into the dark art? Pico Squeeze kit with Coral RDA
