denzil - welcome to the forum, and I agree with the others regarding battery safety. It's one of those subjects which might appear boring and fuddyduddy, but unless you want to lose an finger (or worse!), you really should know what battery you have in your mod. Ecolux or Torchy on eBay will sell only tested and genuine batteries - they might be a couple of quid more, but they are guaranteed to be the real deal. There are a lot of clones and re-wrapped batteries around at the moment, people capitalising on the current desire for new batteries, and you just can't be too careful with something which ends up inches from your face!!

I have a Magma Paradigm and a Plume Veil violetblade, and both have the capacity for a single coil and the option to close the airflow from one side, thus directing air only over the coil. I have the exact same two. I give the Magma 1:1 clone 9/10 I give the Plume Veil a 7/10. The airflow ring on the Magma is fairly useless if you like to take the top off, as I do. That's the reason that I prefer the PV to the Magma, djs - if the airflow ring was fixed and didn't rotate so easily the Magma would be a real contender

I have a Magma Paradigm and a Plume Veil violetblade, and both have the capacity for a single coil and the option to close the airflow from one side, thus directing air only over the coil. However, if you can wind a good coil, dual coil makes such a difference, and even if they are not identical, will both work passably well. With practice, which may amount to 3 or 4 goes, you will be dual coiling like a champ, and if you use Kanthal the coils will last so long that you will have forgotten how to do it by the time they need replacing!! I have no experience of the other drippers mentioned, but if I was called I would chose a Velocity which can also be single coiled. Great flavour and vapour, and with the raised dual posts, it is so easy to build on.

paulbee - I haven't managed to keep up to speed on the matter that Greg refers to, but I do hope that it hasn't given you the wrong impression of us here at AAEC. We try to be fair, courteous, and helpful wherever possible. We are all those things whether the member is a noob or a seasoned vaper, and we like to have a laugh along the way where appropriate. Please don't judge us all the same way, but bear in mind that from our view, you arrived and without introducing yourself, put some items up for sale on the Classifieds at a quite high price (notwithstanding where you bought the said items from). Let's put this unfortunate misunderstanding behind us and start again! Glad to hear that you have 1) kicked the stinkies into touch, and 2) started to amass a collection of mods and atties to see your new hobby in. Please ask if you need help, chip in where you feel you can, and enjoy reading the many and varied posts on all sorts of topics. Most important of all, the only stupid question is the one you don't ask, so fire away, we're here to help

Hi all I have recently acquired a new Koopor 200w mod (which I love!), but it came with a rather gaudy bright orange case. Does anyone know of anyone who might be able to supply me with something a bit more discreet - like black!? I'm a gentleman of a certain age, and bright orange doesn't really fit my fashion sense; you know, black trousers, black shoes (polished every morning), black jumper, subtle M & S shirt, tie if you're lucky! Any help or links would be much appreciated Andy B

@nursemorph - if you are contemplating a new tank, you could do a lot worse than a Subtank Mini - they are cheaper to buy from overseas, but they are solid tanks with a good choice of available heads, and also the chance to try building your own coils and wicking, should you wish to in the future.

Just watched the aforementioned programme - it's SO worth a watch. The dedication and passion that the aircrew, airframe and mechanics have for the Vulcan has to be seen to be believed. Rolls Royce don't have the necessary skills to be part of the Vulcan programme. In other words, the young mechanics of today are not skilled enough to take over the running and maintenance of the aeroplane that the old hands have, and these aging staff are retiring now. I hear tell that the team are now considering a full flying restoration of another classic warbird - the De Havilland Mosquito - now that would be just awesome!! Is that not older? how's that gonna work? As far as I understand Bluefish, something like a Mosquito is much easier to work on as the BBMF (Battle of Britain Memorial Flight) engineering team and their supporting industries can restore and if required re-manufacture components more easily. A Mosquito is in essence no more complicated than a Spitfire or Hurricane in engineering terms, so is a feasible project for restoration. It would be wonderful to see one in the air once again!

emwat - A heads-up for www.joosejuice.co.uk as well - great selection of juices, and you can request the ratio of PG to VG and strength that you want, as it's mixed fresh to order. For that reason, stick with the lighter fruity and mint/menthol types first if you want to vape it straight away; the dessert flavours including custards and tobacco need a few weeks tucked away somewhere cool and dark to mature properly. Great juices though! BTW, welcome to the forum, you've certainly come to the right place where you'll find all the advice and guidance that you need without snide comments!

OK folks, help required! I've recently picked up a couple of Subtank Minis from our good friend flavourtank, and I have a selection of NI200 wire. What are your thoughts on a Nickel build on a Subtank RBA which will work well on my new (and very lovely!) Koopor 200w (tongue firmly in cheek!) mod? Is there any advantage to twisting the wire first? Should I aim for a particular resistance, or is this a bit academic? As always, your help would be gratefully received! Andy B

Trouble is Greigster, I hear that they are thirsty little beggars, and being out on the road all day, I wonder how long a Mini would last!? I need something with at least 5ml capacity and a refill bottle to boot to get me through the day!

This is on my wishlist, just waiting for an e-version to stick on my Kindle! Well done kreed, some great tips and recipes there, and this book is a real corker for all home-brewers of top-notch e-juice (blimey, lots of dashes in that sentence!).
