The Seller's response was what do you expect, it was a bargain and then closed her account . . . . one was not amused. They have replied already. Totally held up their hands and are sending me a brand new one. So I get a new one for under half price and get to keep the old one... which is working... Not counting chickens yet but could be a super result. |

I fear I have been done on eBay.
I bought an item (auction) which has arrived in a dreadful state. This damage was not caused in transit, it is long standing damage which makes the item unusable, unsafe and unattractive. It was described as "factory refurbished" but is nothing or the sort.
I expect the seller will want me to foot the bill to return the item claiming they knew nothing about it and all the rest. Quite frankly, if there was any justice, I'd get a refund in under 12 hours and not bother to send it back - it can go straight in the bin really.
1. Damaged before sale.
2. Incorrect item (not as per listing, different model)
3. Unsafe (probably, as it's electrical)
4. Generic photos used to sell it.
Any advice folks?

I'm done forever. By the time I'm 70 or 80 I'll be needing the money not spending £40 on 20 fags. Not to mention this lovely nugget 68!  phew! Nov 69 im safe. Since we know most people will be 'persuaded' to retire from their jobs at 61/62 you are lucky to get it one year earlier than me. That makes you £8,000 up by virtue of being born 6 months earlier. I have realised my wife will get hers though so shouldn't grumble. Two people born after April 1970 are £16,000 worse off than two born at the end of 1969. Difficult and distinctly unfair for some poor buggers. |

There is hardly a day goes by that I don't receive a parcel ...... for any one of my neighbours! No idea if I have been nominated by any of them, just lucky enough that the postie knows we are all friends & I'm the one that is usually at home when he is on his rounds djs hope you get it sorted In fairness. I have convinced the nice young girl who delivers the post to leave over-sized items (not signed for) in a special bin. Common sense dictates if there's not been a burglary since 1976, you can safely leave a pack of bamboo sticks for the garden in a bin rather than go all "it didn't fit so we're punishing you" and making you do 45 minutes to pick this s*** up. Nobody can burgle around here. We're the only people that leave the house. Everybody else is at least 90 years old and can't drive anymore. I'm thinking of starting a taxi firm for them. Bless... I can take you to Sainsbury's for less than an official taxi. Trouble is, they get buses for free so all shop at b***** Waitrose or M&S in town |
