Which begs the question, what wire and ohmage is safe for pumping 150W through? Back to ohms law. Using this site here, with 150W and 7.4 V (so two 18650s) the resulting current is 20 amps, which is probably safe with most decent 18650s. It would run hot though on a resistance above 0.36 ohms. Well there's the thing we don't know what hot is as of now. With regards to base liquids like PG/VG and nicotine i guess the study will show what a safe temperature range is but with regards to flavourings i doubt the study will be much help because there is just too wide a variety so we're never going to know what temperature range if any is unsafe with those breaking down into dangerous compounds under specific temperatures. I would hazard to assume that most people vaping at the 150w that you gave as an example are building below 0.36ohms anyway. Rip Trippers reviewed an ipv3 150W at above 1 ohm (see the annotation towards the end : "Will this vape below 1 ohm? We shall see"). Lots of clouds and sick as tits etc, so it'll sell.

84.7% of all statistics are made up In my sample size of 1 (me) there has been a 100% reduction in cigarette usage, NRT, and cold turkey compared to ecigs. Therefore ecigs have a 100% success rate. Easy this stats lark innit?

Once you start you won't stop now Well done @yavape. When I started coiling (on a Kayfun, long time ago) it was horrible, even with a head mounted pair of binoculars to compensate for my eyesight, mine would turn out crap. But after you've done a few of them, it becomes second nature.

DNA40, 0.10 to 0.20 ohms, rayon or JP cotton wick, hover around the 12 W mark. Often as low as 10.5 W. This is using high-VG juices, so no lack of cloudage, and with decent flavour. It's amusing to see folk going for 100W / 150W devices, as if incinerating your juice is going to do more than risk producing health-damaging emissions. Dr Farsalinos's study into the temperature of temperature of evaporation should be out soon, that'll be a real eye opener, showing (I think) what wattage is the cutoff above which the nasties like formaldehyde are produced.

The analogue smell doesn't bother me, when I get a whiff of it I think "that would have been me not so long ago".

I missed it at work, being in a meeting, with my back to the window. The workplace is in the countryside, and it was noticeable as the light level dimmed that all the birdies suddenly stopped tweeting for a while. "Night time, sleepy time" their little bird brains were saying.

Jeremy Irons is a good actor. Though he was in that film about shagging a minor (Lolita).

I've rewicked Kanger OCCs with rayon and with JP cotton, the latter is easier to fluff up the hole (ooer missus again) to fill it outside the OCC. Memory does cloud to be fair, as changing wicks and coils weekly you can forget if it's plugged or letting in the juice.
In any case my Kanger original is ded. The top of the base would not come off (not the chim chim chim chiminey, the middle section) so Brainiac here gripped it with needle pliers while twisting the screwed section. The middle bit now has a lovely v shaped dent. Is there a shop selling base replacement units? /eejit

I did the 'turn your o ring (on the base) round as it has a concave side' trick after not remembering if it had been flipped during a cleaning session. No impact. I has no spare o rings, in any case the Mini which is just a few days old has started dribbling. This though is with a recoiled OCC. I'm hoping there isn't enough wick, or too much. It may be phase of the moon dependent.

Having had a Subtank (original mahoosive thing) and for a few days a Mini, one thing they've got in common I find is a propensity to piddle. Not a full on leak a la Kayfun with air flow issues, but a gradual widdling of juice out (it seems) of the air intake, dribbling valuable juice into the well, and more concerningly into the mod. I'm convinced now that the ST was responsible for my Vaporshark dying, as when I opened it up to see why the display had started going wonky there was juice in there.
The mini, after just a few days usage has been diddling itself and on top of my new DNA40 mod that's not good. At least the mod has a magnetic back cover, so I can whip it out (ooer missus) and give the inside a bit of a towelling, but tis not ideal at all. Compared to a properly wicked Kayfun, that happily tooted away day after day with no seepage.
Amidoinitrong? Or is the Subtank a bit of a nappy wetter?

Mostly, I vape homebrew ethyl-maltol 10%, so just a bit fruity (ooer missus). There are usually a group of custard variants in the wings, especially Custardy Lovechild, and can't get enough of that Banoffee (but with the steeping time it's gone far too quickly).

Subtank Mini came today, it's very dinky compared to it's big brother but it sure performs as well. It looks the part too on top of a smaller box mod like the Hcigar. Nom!
