Thanks beedee and buggritt, sorry for delay in replying haven't been on for a while with the whole Xmas thing Appreciate your input. It appears it was bacterial and I only use vaping products from the UK so I think I hit the panic button a bit soon. I've followed recommendations, lowered my nic level from 20mg to 6mg and upped vg a bit and back enjoying my vapes so thanks all.

Pneumonia is caused by a bacterial infection so no it's not the vape. When you feel up to vaping again you could try reducing the nicotine in your liquid, the lower the nic the less harsh on the throat the vape is. A higher ratio of VG in the liquid will also reduce harshness. I know that and I suppose it's just a case of bad timing and coincedence, will take on board reducing nicotine. Thanks

Here's my dilemma... I've happily vaped away for the last 5 years with various ego twist batteries (laterly GS Twist 2 2000mah) and clearomizers but got to the stage they weren't really doing much for me or vape flavour anymore.
Long story short I've upgraded to Kanger CL Tank 2P Kit (3000mah), which supports both MTL and DTL. Sticking with MTL with 1.5ohm coils for now but good to have the choice further down the line, I thought.
I was so pleased with it but did notice it's a more powerful draw but within a few days I had a bit of a raw throat, and thoughts were 1) Blamed my OH as he had cough & cold 2) Is it my new vapey?
Unfortunately for me within the last week I got worse and ended up in hospital with pneumonia. I'm home with antibiotics and on the mend but I am terrified of vaping (even though I really really want to). Mind you I am still quite short of breath so I'd probable cough a lung up anyway.
Has anyone had similar experience, am I being totally paranoid and a big worry wart about the vaping...any pearls of wisdom appreciated peeps.

Thanks for all the info...even more confused now lol. Seriously though, I should probably steer clear of sub vaping just now as I have a stash of 20 mg juice to get through. Will do more research for a more compatible option.

Hi all looking for a bit of advice/knowledge and this place has plenty people with that it was here I got advice about moving from cig alikes to variable voltage lol...seems like yonks ago!! So I’ve been using GS Ego Twist11 (2200mah) for years now with various clearos, currently Kanger T3S and started getting a bit frustrated as some of my mixes just don’t do it for me anymore. After some thought, seeing workmates with fancier looking gear I decided I need to move on a bit to something a bit more powerful perhaps. After much googling I’ve been drawn to SMOK V8 Kit / X8 Kit, mostly as the battery is 3000mAh with on the go charging facility (means instead of 2 I could probably manage with 1 and keep old ones as spares) but I’m a bit wary of the sub ohm thing as I’ve read nicotine levels need to be way lower and unsure of the direct to lung/mouth to lung options. Has anyone got either of these, or can anyone suggest something similar with the high capacity battery...any advice most welcomed.

Thanks so much for the reply, I came across that post when I was trying to find out about Kent. I had Black Cat as a fav a few years back when I was new to vaping, then when Rom posted Black Kitten recipe here that's when I began mixing my own. Suppose I could go back to Black Cat but got used to mixing something just as good at less cost I guess or find something new to mix.

Hi All, Ok so I haven't made the amazing Black Kitten in quite some time now (was trying other stuff) but decided it had been tooooo long. Problem, it looks as if Inawera, Wera Garden have discontinued Kent...does anyone know of a similar juice I could use instead??? Any suggestions appreciated.
