:-[ No!! My first "n00b fail" - I have over-filled the clearomiser - the top marking is 1.6ml and I have gone past the scale and up to 1.8ml - I have taken a photo but not sure if it's possible to upload here. Do I have to somehow extract the 0.2ml (I got too impatient to go and get a proper syringe)? Is it going to damage it if I try to use it overfilled?

Hey guys thanks for all your help. As a first update, the package arrived today. Both batteries (in the end I ordered the starter kit x 2, guess I will need another CE4 eventually anyway) are charging and hopefully later today I will be ready to get started. I have been genuinely excited about this since last week now - I don't see it as 'quitting', rather a kind of new adventure.
I will let you know how I get on, and thanks again for all the advice. I have some more general questions but I will leave them until each issue arises...

Sweet! Thanks guys, and thanks Chrissie for the reminder about the discount codes - I would have forgotten. djsvapour - hadn't realised the separate battery was a 'Riva' style itself. Right, that's it, I am ordering...
I will let you know how I get on, or, more accurately, come running for help when I inevitably get stuck!

PPS - I should say that I only stumbled across the forum a while back when i was googling for reviews of certain suppliers - one of whom had pretty clearly attempted to impersonate satisfied customers on here and got unceremoniously (but deservedly) planted on his backside - the danger of glossy-looking websites and high google rankings nearly sucked me in, so thanks all for that too...

Hi everyone. I have been reading the site for a few weeks now, and have finally decided that after a fair amount of research I am ready to take the plunge (an Avatar and all that jazz can wait!) That being so, I feel the need to ask an obvious question. From the responses to moonfairy's recent post it looks like the kit that she mentioned - tinyurl.com/EgoStarter1batt - is the one I would like to go for. For entirely shallow reasons (I prefer the look of the steel battery) I don't want to order the Premium Starter bundle - so.... Will this battery - tinyurl.com/1100batt - work with the rest of the kit (I guess it fits) without any voltage/current issues? ... and... Is there much difference between the CE4 and CE5 cartomisers (the latter of which come with the premium kit), such that I should just get the upgraded kit with 2 batteries and 2 (better?) carts? Cost isn't a massive issue - frankly I spend comfortably more than the cost of the premium kit on cigarettes every week as it is. Again sorry if I asked an obvious question but I am starting to drown in detail now and I just really want to stop smoking! PS I will get around to sorting an avatar, etc out, honest... |
