Had a bit of an unscientific stab at your fix, vapee. Poked around with a deformed cheap split-ring off a bunch of keys. Was a bit alarmed at how easily the constituent parts moved about, including that pin sticking up which is the airflow (the bit to avoid when refilling). To get any kind of seal on the mouthpiece had to push it back down quite a way, but sloshed it about to soak the (more exposed) wick. Didn't work initially but it has stopped for now. Will contact e-cigwizard tomorrow in any case, but thanks for the fix! I can already see the attraction of rebuildable CE5s, and I haven't even tried cleaning or dry burning yet (well, not intentionally at least!)

Hmmm... I just tried it tilted so that the rubber cap was submerged - made no difference. I'm just a bit nervous about it, I think I will have to get in touch with the supplier. Anyway thanks for your help, I need to run now or I will be late for work.

I missed your response while posting that, sorry. I think it's a CE4 (non-rebuildable) - at least that's what the description on e-cigwizard said. Going to post a proper picture of it, taken when I'm not trying to vape in a sec

This is my problem - I have no sense of smell at all so I can't really tell - but it's not like really bitter, still tastes slightly sweet. Is it possible this has been caused by not cleaning it? I've only had it since Monday, used <10 ml in that time... ???

PS - Sorry for the crappy picture - it 'goes out' quite quickly so very tricky to focus it in time using an iPhone

Last night I noticed (never vape in bed) that part of my clearomiser was glowing red, which was pretty alarming. I take it this is not normal (I had recently filled it so this is obviously not a dry burn). It only glows red when I actually draw on it. Any help? I've stopped using it, thankfully have a spare, but will only be using menthol juice for now. Oh well. Attachments:

I had been looking into it for a while, then I tried a cig-a-like and it was passable. What really made my mind up was when the owner of said cig-a-like told me that she had noticed that her hands 'felt warm all the time'. It was like a moment of clarity - being 28 and having crap circulation (and no doubt the 'lungs of a 75 year old') just didn't feel like a price worth paying. I took my time and with some really good help from you guys decided to do it properly rather than messing about with Tesco's level stuff - OK I've been at it for like 2 days and I don't really see me going down the full customisation route, to be honest, but I was always a very fussy smoker with brands, etc, and when I got my eGo / CE4 fired up there was no going back. Only at the very first thing in the morning do I fancy a cigarette, but I will get used to even that. Like some of you said above, it's really not much different from changing brands, which I used to do every 3 months or so anyway. There's no looking back now. [...] its like smoking 2.0 That. Right there. That's what it is. It's actually better than smoking, it costs far less, and as one of my colleagues said the other day while we were walking towards a restaurant "you look like something out of Blade Runner with that thing!" - which I took as a compliment. Do Androids Dream of Electric Cigarettes? I really hope one day soon I will be able to vape away in Starbucks (or non-chain, taxpaying coffee establishment of my choice), we shall see. Next thing now is to get my Mum converted - I'm staying with her and my sister over Christmas - I've mentioned it once, and she mumbled something about having tried one of someone else's. My plan is to buy her a kit, but hide it in my bag. I'm hoping curiosity will kill the cat (sorry Chrissie! ), and I will just answer her questions, make sure she sees me filling up, charging etc, so i basically explain all of this stuff to her without her realising it, then present her with her "one last gift" just as we're about to leave on like the 28th. All the points people made above about people kicking back and resisting if you try to persuade have confirmed this for me...

Thanks guys! Glad overfilling didn't cause spontaneous combustion or the closing of the M6 rokii! I just tipped it out through an 'abundance of caution'...
Seems to be working OK so far! I was a bit perturbed by the noise the first time, but I am really enjoying it.
Dave, I got Vermillion River classic blend x 2 and a bottle of menthol also (I had been - yeah, that's right, past tense! smoking Silk Cut Choice, which had a menthol 'capsule' in) but haven't hankered after it yet, which I normally would have done if I'd had a 'normal' cigarette.
I am looking forward to trying out some different flavours, but unfortunately I have completely lost my sense of smell, so I am pretty much restricted to what you can sense with your tongue - I could at least always tell the difference between regular and menthol up to now.
So far, I am really enjoying this 'Classic Blend' 24mg - it's quite sweet, and my sister tells me it tastes a whole lot better than her housemate's Cig-a-Like does ('talcum powder', apparently!)
