Unfortunately... it would work... but I'm not sure what 1.5 litres of juice would cost! As would a lightbulb if you could get it open! Sean

At the moment, I have a copper tube soldered through the centre of the battery connector that reaches into the atty. Length-wise, it stops just short of the atty and will feed into the bottle with a length of silicon tubing. However, I'm looking into practically the same system as Lisa uses but seeing if a Leur fitting check valve can be incorporated to stop the juice returning top the bottle... the problem being that you still need to allow air into the bottle. I'm not convinced about those switches as they are only rated to 50mA at 12v... our atties draw anything between 1.5 and 2 amps. The kill switch is simply the switch that is already wired into the battery boxes. When it's in the 'ON' position, it allows the atty to draw current when the button is pressed. In the 'OFF' position, it doesn't and so the box can't be triggered in a pocket. Lastly, I'm currently using the switches that Lisa linked to in the Box Mod Buttons thread but these are only a quick-fix for me. The switches I intend to use are custom built touch sensor circuits. Sean EDIT... forgot to add... the DB (Double Battery) version will also happily run off a single battery!

That's mad money - even at the 'offer' price! If the switches are the ones I think they are, then they are still only rated at 50mA for 12v... Sean

Hello Tony, Yep, I have blunt needles with Leur fittings coming for the feed system and I'm looking into ways of making the juice feed without flooding or significant suck-back (got to admit I'm drawing a blank here though!). I haven't considered a 5v box mod as yet but I have the parts for some 6v torch mods! Sean

Hello Graeme, Welcome to the forums! Links and pics (and recommendations!) of what's available in Thailand would be great as there's loads of us always looking for the next best mod available! Sean

Cheers Mark! Dead simple and no regulator needed Tony... the batteries are wired in 'parallel' - this means that the output voltage remains at 3.7v but the mAh doubles. However, only batteries of the same power/type/capacity should be wired in parallel. Example: 3.7v 100mAh battery, wired in parallel to a 3.7v 100mAh battery = 3.7 volts 200mAh output 3.7v 100mAh battery, wired in series to a 3.7v 100mAh battery = 7.2 volts 100mAh output Simple explanation can be found here: www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Wire-Batteries-in-Series-or-in-Parallel/HTH... It's really nice but damn, that's a lot of work! Benefits are almost limitless options... downside is all production downfalls are yours and yours alone. Sean

Going to send out a few for testing/reviews/opinions/ideas and re-works hun before I decide to go into 'production'... I have a list in my head as many people here have been very kind with advice and parts so I have some debts to repay! Sean

Thanks hun... have had to go through a couple of re-works so the ones I have currently are functional but some of the soldering is not my best work! Also, had to re-do the led indicator as the first one was in a nice neat little mount that sits the bulb just proud of the case. Looks real professional but... the led is so bright that it doubles as a blue torch! It's that strong that you can't even look at it if you want to see anything else for the next 5 minutes! The work around for this is very simple and, I have to say, looks much better (and gives a few customisable options too!). Sean

Hello All, Well, after a lot of looking around and researching this and that, I now have 3 types of box mod planned (at the moment)! They are nothing fancy so far (after all, they are just battery box mods!) as they have 'normal' push button swtiches until I get the touch sensors but here's the selection: The PinPack SB - the baby of the bunch - a single 14500 battery, discrete led indicator, kill switch. Model pictured has a 510 connection. The PinPack DBThe PinPack JB - bottom feeding juice box - single 14500 battery, led indicator, kill switch. Models pictured have a modified 901 connection. One has a discrete led indicator, the other is a little more 'in your face!' (in fact, it doubles as a nice little torch). Prices, including Touch Sensors or Large Button, choice of connectors (subject to availability) and choice of LED colour (subject to availability) are: PinPack SB - £14 posted PinPack DBPinPack JB - £17 posted Naked Box Mod (limited time/availability) (see other thread in the Modders Section) - £14 posted.
