Ok rainey afternoon so I had a go
Only got two dead heads at moment one genuine Kanger one FT lookalike.
Coiling dead easy (remember I take apart watches and clocks for hobby so never found coils difficult), coiled as per doing evods with one extra turn on each for the ohms, done this on 2 cocktail sticks shaved down to fit grooves in head. Placed one above other then twisted legs together (in two's not all four before some smartar*e points it out). Bit of a fiddle getting legs through head, put in bung and screw thingy then removed sticks, whacked it on the meter 1.7 ohms, that'll do.
Rewicked with cotton, bit trickier on the genuine as you have to trim it close and tuck in excess (lookalike does not have the metal sheild which caused my other problem, removing it, ended up with the base of a protank clone for gripping and a pair of small pliers).
All seemed well so filled up a tank, unfortunatly both leaked, so back to drawing board.
Next week i'm going to try it with FT pre made coils, an extra wick on the lookalike and a bit more tucked in on the genuine. It's all trial and error until I get bored and put another order with FT lol.

Nice tweezers  I have a couple of pairs on their way to me from China, They are bloody pricey, even from China they are £14-20,over here in the UK they can go for over £100 on ebay (branded ones)  I'm intrigued as to what is in the bag at the front on the right, little squares? I'm going to attempt to recoil a mini protank 3 head today but bit confused (easily done) about ohms.
I want 1.6 ohms final reading, is this done using just two 1.6 coils or is there a complicated formula I have to use to arrive there.
Your help be appreciated before I waste a load of wire.

I tried out some of the 2.8 ohm non wicked ones yesterday, seem to be working fine, just need flaming first to stop metal taste.

When I started vaping I had at least 7 on the go with different flavours ! Now I just have 1 at atime ! ( and about 7 empty ones in the cupboard ! I'm trying an experiment to see how much juice I actually use in a week and it's easier with one tank !! Mmmmm it's looking like 30ml a week !!! Is that excessive or average ? Interesting to read what you all use a week Glad I mix my own ! When I started it was only 1.6 a day !!!! ( iclear 16 ) now it's aero mega and protanks When I started 7 cartos on the go would have equated to over £35 worth of cartos, each with a 2-3 day lifespan, things improve with age lol, keep telling the missus that. Vaping will not be mainline in these countries until price of juice outstrips price of fags, no incentive and you can smoke anywhere, on the other side price of juice will remain high until lots are buying, chicken and egg situation.
