I got myself also a measuring cylinder - for the bigger amounts like this as I mix 0 nicotine for hubby - I premix a 70/30 pg/vg mix and then just add the nicotine into my bottles I got myself a couple of 50ml and 100ml syringes with a length of tubing for my bigger mixes, works a treat as it sooks up the VG a lot easier than a needle. Use the 100ml syringe for making up my 250ml bottles of 24mg base Use the 50ml one for filling the bottles then I just need to add 20% flavour to get my 18mg ish juice

Thanks for the replies, I think I will in future use a syringe for the larger amounts, saves having to count out 180 drops! I know it's trial and error and personal taste, I just didn't think about the possibility of different bottle tops being different sizes...doh! It's a learning curve as far as mixing goes tmg, we've all been there. At least if anything you've put too little flavouring in, which is far easier to fix than the other way around. If you mix the flavour too strong Mandy you just need to mix a small bottle of flavourless @ the same strength and use that to 'water it down' so you don't loose the strength of the original mix. Had a few problems in that department myself when I first started mixing as different makes need more or less added and I found out the hard way

I must admit I always use a syringe, having read about different drop sizes. Having said that, if I'm mixing a whole 30ml bottle of concentrate into juice, I use 15ml of concentrate per 90ml x 2, one for me and one for my vaping friend who I mix for. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I simply tip in half the 30ml concentrate into each 100ml mixing bottle and use my eye, nothing more technical. Did 180ml total of RA this afternoon, and it will now steep for a week before I need to use it - not that I've noticed much difference steeped or not, it's almost ready to vape straight away! Yea pretty similar to the way I mix now Andy Got a few 250ml bottles that I use to make 24mg base, also got a load of 50ml bottles and a 50ml syringe so when I am mixing I just use the big syringe (with a short length of tubing instead of a needle) to draw up 40mls of base, squirt it in the bottle and top up by eye to 50ml (usually sit the bottle next to one at the right level). Give the bottles a good shake, put away for a couple of weeks and end up with 50mls of juice @ about 18mg / 20% and only one syringe to wash out !!!! 10ml 20ml and 30 ml bottles I just do the exact same but reduce the amounts accordingly. If for any reason it is a stronger flavour that I don't want to mix @ 20% I just make up the difference of concentrate with neat PG / VG to keep the strength @ 18mg ish. Lazy I know but it works for me and not had any disasters so far

And pyrex yes. Plastic, not so great as it will melt if the battery vents (although I highly doubt it will) [Edit: I thought pyrex was good under heat? Only experience is High School Chemistry though, could be completely wrong but I thought that's what test tubes/heating flasks were made of?] Pyrex - well at least my dish usually should be used in an oven. So I figured - pyrex dish, withstands oven temps , pop battery in it, pyrex cover over top, sorted ??? A pyrex dish will be fine as they are designed to be tough and oven proof

Tbh, all this ' air space ' is a load of baloney for me as well Rom . . . Vendors don't send out 10ml of eliquid in a 30ml bottle do they? Ain't got a clue, one thing i do know is i can now fill up a bigger bottle now for the OH with Red Astaire so that will keep her off my back for a little while Started using the 50ml bottles for mixing too just because I am a 'Lazy mixer' Got a few 250ml bottles that I use to make 24mg base ... then when I do a mixing session use a 50ml syringe with tubing on it to sook out 40mls, squirt into empty 50ml bottle, and squirt in concentrate to just below the neck. Give it a good shake and you have 50mls of 18mg juice in about 2 minutes Works for me because I usually mix everything @ 20%

Thankyou, I may need more than luck - like a bigger kitchen I have been doing it the easy way whilst practising, base pre done add 1ml of flavour, now I am going to be let loose with nicotine, pg and vg If you are more confident doing it that way why do you not mix a bottle of your own base? I have a couple of empty 250ml bottles that I use to make up 24mg base, I normally mix @ 20% flavour so that gives me a final strength of about 18mg. When I do a mixing session it is just a case of 24ml of base and 6ml of flavour = 30ml of juice or 8ml of base and 2ml flavour if I am doing a 10ml tester. Really simple and the bottle of base lasts for ages

Red Astaire from T-Juice is strong and fruity and I am not the only fan Apparently this has been discontinued as a concentrate due to people selling their mixes on facebook. Its back on sale but you can only buy a max of 40mls a month to stop the chancers mixing it and selling it on

Left that one for 30 mins .....BURNT. Ok I have my brand new head from RGM2 left to try. As a rough guide what should my settings be at on itaste vv? Sack that. Rgm2 head doesn't fit in protank. So I've syphoned the ejuice out protank and put it in rgm2. This thing holds way more juice! Leaving this one sitting for 30 mins now, see how it goes. Thank god for my iclears tonight. I can't see past the iClears TBH 16's on the vv3 and 30's on the VTR perfect vape every time

Just to add that the iClear 16 is duel coil so you will get more hit from it than an Evod as it will suck up more juice through the coil
Turning the power down a bit till you get used to it should help

I have no doubt that many of the high end mods give a more consistent vape but bang for buck I can't fault my set up .... If I go out and loose my VV3 it's a PITA but drop a Provari etc you would be absolutely gutted.
I have several mates that started on Ego's with CE4's and the most adventurous they have got is buying an Evod for the top but it does it for them and that's great cause they are off the stinkies.
