I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago and he said my teeth and gums were in much better nick since I quit smoking... And I see that the thread you linked to includes some posts from a dentist, who says not to worry. Big toothy smile >>> I thought there were some worrying things in that thread which one dentist (if it was a dentist) is not alleviating for me. I don't know of a dentist that would actually recommend it. I'm not trying to scaremonger, I think it is a legitimate concern. Dentistry is expensive, and as a phobic it is bloody traumatic experience for me. I would like to know if I am filling my mouth with sugar or not. Could this be worse than having a can of Coke multiple times a day? Vaping would get into every crevice in your mouth even more so that drinking it? Can't help you there, I'm afraid. As far as I'm concerned, if 100 people are worried about it but none of them are dentists, and the one dentist in the room isn't worried about it, I'm going to go with the opinion of the dentist But you're right, the various health implications of vaping are a legitimate concern. My own view, from what I have read, is that I don't know whether vaping is bad for my health, but I do know that smoking was very bad for my health, so, on balance, I'm probably better off now than I was before...

Mixing your own doesn't help - you are using the same flavourings that are in the pre-mixed liquids.

I am going to try the black cherry pie and custard Ash mentioned the other day as my first one sleepyduck Not sure how long to steep it for though. needs a good few weeks I would suggest ... on my last sample I would advise upping the Black Cherry content a wee bit. The original recipe had 20 drops per 1ml but it defo needs upping Is that 20 drops per 1ml or 20 drops per 10ml?

Ok I will bring this up at the next meeting. But you can't tell me just now? Is it a secret ??? Anyway, I've done my own research in the meantime (it took a while) and discovered that ECCA is a guy callers Chris and another guy called Sam. I still have no idea why I should give them my support or trust them with my money.

As I said in my earlier post (third post on this page), I would like to know who was purporting to represent my interests and asking for a donation from me. Names and biographies would be a start. Here's an example of what I mean casaa.org/Board_of_Directors.html

The website is going to have a massive overhaul with lots of new features and articles. Can I suggest sleepyduck that you raise a ticket to make this suggestion. This would be the best and easiest way to raise concerns or pass on suggestions etc. You can do that by clicking here: www.eccauk.org/support The point is that I would want the organisation to realise that something like that might be important to prospective members without one of those prospective members (i.e. me) having to "raise a ticket". Having had a look at the site, there are lots more suggestions I could make, but whilst I might be interested in joining ECCA, I have no interest in participating in running it.

I hadn't looked at the ECCA website before. I have now. One suggestion. I think the site should tell us who is behind ECCA. Names and biographies. This may sound a little old-fashioned in 2013, but I wouldn't join an organisation which aimed to represent my interests without knowing who I was dealing with...
