update
Now super confused. Does the cartomiser need to go on the end of the clearo. Struggling to see what I would put onto the carto to take a drag if not as the drip tip seems to long to poke in
I only have one clearo thats filled with menthol - do i have to empty this.
Oh dear - though I got it but clearly not lol

Day two with the Riva 1100 kit
Notes so far for any fellow newbies waiting to start should it interest you and then a couple of question for the more experienced as I'm a bit stuck now
Arrival day : put kit together with clearomiser and menthol ejuice. Smoked about 10 stinky fags while I worked it out and messed with the Riva. 7pm smoked my last stinky fag of the day and switched to solely vaping
Day One : Expected to mix vaping and stinky fags but got through the day by vaping when a craving hit. Didn't use much juice - 1ml ? Think will increase once I get used to it. No side effects and got the best nights sleep in ages
Day Two : Got to 230pm pm so far on just vaping . Vaping quite a bit more than yesterday as I'm being hit by slight stinky cravings - habit crave of something in my hand I think. No side effects so far
QUESTION
I fancy trying another flavour but I want to keep the clearomiser with menthol on hand
I have my second battery charged so I decided to try a cartomiser with some cherry cigar
Watched video of friendly bearded man filling cartomiser. So far I have removed the two plastics "covers " off the cartomiser. Have removed white bung with tweezers. Have used the condom method ( glad that did not involve actual condom - was wondering !!! ) and filled it from the bottom with cherry cigar e-juice
I'm just checking my next steps. I think I take the plastic see through ish cover I've used to fill the cartomiser off and wipe down the coil. Do I replace the white "bung " or not ( tis the round thing with a hole in it I am talking about ) . I am going to have to borrow the drip tip from my clearomiser for the time being as I only have one so what should I use if anything to bung up the clearo containing menthol juice

Another question : just reading the bumpfh that came with the kit and it says in short " clearomisers are disposable elements .. blah blah , allow for replacement when flavour gone or coil stops working .. blah blah , this can vary from one to several weeks based on eliquid and amount of use "
How often should I expect to replace - should i buy a reserve asap

Hiya all Just got the kit together and working Nice minty taste and the inhalation vapour felt nice  . Should I follow any loose rules on how often to vape or just as I feel to start with. Its a weird one as I'm used to smoking a fag which is .. I don't know .. 10 drags a fag ... so habit is telling me to keep puffing on the e cigarette for a while but theres no end point or signal from my body that I'm done so I dont really have an urge to stop or rather an end point ( ie fag is finished ) Should I maybe take a few drags and then wait til I feel desperate for a "fag" then puff again or is there a better way Its confusing but I know thats just my fag habit throwing me. Also - could anyone direct me to a good thread (as I'm sure there must be one ) on what to expect by way of symptoms from getting off the fags. I'm expecting to have some withdrawal symptoms from the chemicals and tar - is that right xxx |

Newbie question : when using normally should I be pressing the button before using for ?? amount of seconds before using or should i be pressing it as I inhale . I should be pressing the button at some point right ?

Hi All , Thanks so much for all your help so far. My Riva kit has just arrived from Vape escape - fab service and thanks for recommending it www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-ve-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151Virgin internet is dipping in and out today and I'm having trouble viewing vids and I'm also flapping as customers keep interupting my train of thought and ringing me - how rude Question: I have unscrewed ( cone ??? ) something off the battery. I have gently screwed the battery onto the usb and that has been attached to my laptop for half an hour. I have a green light on the USB charger. About ten minutes ago the battery was flashing a blue light for about 20 seconds. How do I know when its charged ? Then what do I do and also .... Once its charged then how do I get the lid off the ejuice - is there a knack to it. It is resisting all efforts so far !! Sorry for being so rubbish at my own research. Karen x |

Also gone for 18mg e juice samples in hs menthol , apple , cherry cigar , choc caramel and vanilla

I am brand spanking new to the forum
I'm Karen from Birmingham and 35 in two weeks and I'm thinking of turning to vaping for my 35th birthday .24 hours ago I started vaguely looking into e cigarettes after seeing a cig like sample in a corner shop and from that have ended up here and feel like my head is going to explode with information
Could I stumble through some quick questions and thoughts so far for anyones input who has the time
I am currently a 10 - 15 a day smoker of either Sterling Menthol or Berkley Menthol superking
I like the menthol hit and I'm happy to try an e cig that doesn't look like an actually cigarette.
I was thinking of getting a 1100mah eGo eith VV batteries and a Kanger T3 ( bottom feed ) top
I have chosen this because I read someone else was happy any I don't have a clue what I am talking about :-)
1) Could anyone recommend somewhere I can buy a starter kit like above ( online preferable ) and advise on if I need any extras such as more batteries
2) I have NO clue what I am doing. Everything above is double dutch to me. If I order a starter kit and e-juice then can I assume I will be able to work it out with help from here as I go along
3) E juice Nicotine strength. I have looked at various sites and the options seem to be 12mg/24mg/36mg. Would a 24mg be about right for what I was smoking ? Should it make a difference then I work from home and probably smoke about 10-12 between 9am and 5pm with just one or two in the evening
4) E Juice amount - should I assume I will use about 2ml a day based on 10-15 a day stinky fag previous
5) E Juice flavours - it seems from reading around that maybe I should pick a mint and some other flavours in small quantities as my tastes may change . Have I got that right or will I need extra kit to change flavours ( or am I totally getting the wrong end of the stick)
6) A random thought for the summer : can you travel on a plane and take an e cig kit with you. I don't mean to smoke on the plane - I just mean am I going to have trouble getting it through customs without being suspected of being a suicide bomber
I'm strangely nervous but excited about changing over - thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any advise anyone can give
