Hi alopezg1 & welcome to the forum. I understand your concerns regarding silica, as I shared them myself when I first started vaping, but in this case I honestly believe there is nothing to worry about.

Did you read the entire thread (the last link you posted) Boden makes some very good points which put my mind at rest.



I must admit though that I have switched to using Ekowool silica wick (I use it to re-build the coil in an Evod clearomizer) instead of the standard silica wick

It's a lot more robust and less likely to shed any fibres. Have a read of these 2 threads

I'm a bit confused about those Fasttech greys tbh mate ..are you using them in VW devices like the vamo etc or just in mech mods?

I was under the impression that ICR batteries were always supposed to have a protection circuit but those grey ones don't. I also thought that for VV/VW devices you wanted a "High Drain" battery which those aren't. ???

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I thought ICR cells were limited to 2 x charge capacity in output drain.

So a 900mAh 18350 ICR cell would be limited to 2 x times 900mA or 1.8A (I think the Vamo can go up to 5A ?).

Whereas IMR cells are high drain (I think it's 8 x charge capacity.) and touted as being "Safe Chemistry" which I presume means they're a lot less likely to vent.

good to hear Andy, I've only tried the Flavourart Peppermint so far and I'm loving it, will definitely be making a larger purchase from them in the near future.

these guys really deserve our support I think, love what they are doing with the "Clearstream" toxicology studies & their youtube videos etc

yes mate, 4mg & flavourless if it does get regulated as a medicine

I agree though, overall a fairly positive report pity they didn't give more information regarding exactly what medicines regulation will mean to the average vaper.
